I am from middle class family and we can't afford mawa. So from the last 15 years we have been cooking the halwa the same way you showed 😅

Reducing डेढ़ लीटर दूध to dry stage is no joke. It needs more gas, more time and importantly patience too. One can be quick with मावा and use that time elsewhere. If you are not sure about quality of मावा then you can always switch it with मलाई पेड़ा.

Sirji agar aap full fat milk use kaar rahe ho to usme fat and mawa dono aagaye hai. We have been making gazar ka halwa like this for last 55 yrs. Earlier we used to use black gazar also, but now a days they are not available in market.

Actually this is the only way to make it. Mawa is a short cut and it can never match the taste of cooking carrots with milk for a long a time and reducing the milk. Adding Mawa and ghee as an add-on is fine, but not cooking with them

Hi Sanjyot. My mother has always made Gajar ka halwa this way. I have tried other methods also, but I have found that this one is the best. It's so juicy and at times crunchy as well. Just takes a little bit more time but good things always take time. I'll make it tomorrow. Thanks for reminding me. 😋

Love the aesthetic of all your videos! Ardent fan here... as usual a lovely one. I would have thought adding raw carrots to boiling milk might cause it to curdle but since you are doing it, it has to be right 😊 will make it like this soon! Also, gajar halwa with vanilla ice cream tastes awesome... and a interesting addition is to add a little bit of bailey's over it.. elevates the experience.

Hey chef.. Made the recipe 2 days ago. YFL & Sanjyot keer style 😃. It has turned out amazingly mouth watering one. Made of 1 kg carrots n kept in fridge to relish this everyday ( or till it last 😜). Happy new year, made the way you had, I added blanched Almonds, pistachios, roasted Kharbuja seeds, chironji and kesar thread drenched in milk. Came out to be Very soft and silky texture. Thanks for sharing the recipe

I always use milk instead of mava. This process might take more time but the end result will make you happy for sure 😊. And the taste of this halwa is just unforgettable 😋😋😋. Right chef.....

Never made gajar ka halwa before. Made this today, and it was delicious! i used a combination of 5 dates and 100gm jaggery instead of used only crushed nuts not fried. mom ne zyada gajar bhi ghas diya tha xD. Despite that it was great!

👍😍😃..The best way i think is cooking with sugar syrup if you don't want ghee or Mawa..just 2 ingredients gajar ka halwa..add dry fruits..carrot 🥕 tastes good anyways

This recipe takes too long to cook......maybe it works if you are gonna cook like a kilo but if you plan on cooking 3-4 kilos then I suggest another option. Fry the grated carrots in ghee and then add condensed milk. Reduce till you are happy with the dryness. No need to add sugar as condensed milk anyways has it. In the recipe shown in the video, you will also need a pretty big kadai which won't be needed if you fry in ghee plus the cooking time will be too long.

Dost Gajar ka Halwa khane ka maaza dheere dheere khatam ho raha hai. Na ache Gajar milte hai na acha mava nahi Acha full cream wala Dudh. Gajar ka halwa banane ke kai sare tarike hai. Gujarat mein toh Amul ghee hi milta hai jiski quality thik thik hai. Prices have recently gone up with new worst packing. Anyways we make it with little ghee + amul gold or amul cream cooking it, The similar way we just add enough( little ) sugar and don't put any garnish. Gajar and milk simply taste yummy. Dry fruits dalne ki jarurat hi nahi. It's soft smooth silky and delicious.

1. Once you have got the milk to a boil & added the carrots, let it again come to a boil while you stir. 2. Now, put it on a slow simmer & let it cook. Slowly & Slowly. 3. Pinch of salt as it cooks is a must. 4. Roast the nuts in desi ghee & add them along with the ghee. Ghee is a must.

Nahi Sir hum bhi bilkul aise hi banate hai... Use full fat milk.... And less calorie ke liye put milkmaid when almost lukewarm.... In that case put nominal sugar in gajar....

We always make gajrela with milk, without ghee or khoya. We do this for better taste. Khoya wala halwa never tastes as good.

Hello chef , Happy new year! Amazing recipe hope you don’t mind me sharing my version I grate carrots add to pan with little sugar and let it cook till soft and then add powder milk and mix well till all the water is absorbed, then add slithered almonds and raisins.
