The Celtic Languages of the Iberian Peninsula such as Gallaecian and Celtiberian contain some of the most archaic features of any Celtic language. This video looks at the features of the languages such as if they fall under the P or Q Celtic umbrella, and also looks at the remaining sources which help to reconstruct the various dialects.
The scripts which utilise the modified Iberian scripts, are often called semi syllabic scripts, as they utilise symbols which represent stop consonants followed by a vowel. There is debate as to if these languages developed from solely Phoenician influence, or if Greek influence also played a role. This video also looks at sources which suggest the Phoenician letters were only called such as they were the ones who distributed the language, and that the letters were first used by the Pelasgians, and were originally called Pelasgic letters.
