When someone says bile is made of cholesterol, that does not give much info. What is most important is that bile is mostly comprised of phosphatidylcholine. That is why along with HumanX TUDCA, I take BioBody Phosphatidylcholine....every other day. Bile is also recycled in the liver with two main amino acids...glycine and taurine....that is why I take a magnesium product with both glycinate and taurate ☝🏿️🙏🏿

My problem is I just took my evening two before dinner and immediately had diahrrea. I’m in a flare right now. My doctor said I have sludge in Gallbladder and if I continue to have discomfort she will refer me to surgery. I told her medical assistsnt who told me this over the phone, no thanks not having it out. This is my gastroenterologist. I’m having an upper GI at the same time I have my colonoscopy in October. This is all I get from Dr.’s out here in rural AZ.

it's NOT recommended to take Tudca with a meal or close to a meal. (although many do) It's an alkaline and you need acidity in the stomach & the Tudca would neutralize your stomach acid somewhat. Take it between meals so that by the time you eat your meal the alkaline Tudca has already passed through & will be in the intestine/liver & gallbladder where it's needed not in the stomach interfering with the breakdown of the food. Hope you have had some relief from your liver 👍

Great info thanks! That happens very often to people in either prolonged or OMAD fasting. I went through that myself sometimes can be a combination of fasting and bacterial infection that causes it. What worked for me was go back to 2 - 3 meals / day. No more than 16 hours fasting time use Bile salts like Tudca as suggested and give it some time. It took me several months to get back to balance. Ultrasound suggested some liver fat so might be the triger point. After treatment seemed to work took another ultrasound liver fat reduced.

THIS is an HONEST review of Dr. Berg's Gallbladder formula. I use it after every meal, I've tried 2 other types/brands (one natural and one was a chemical) and all the home remedies. With other brands or if I stop using Dr. Berg's product for 4/5 days I go right back to terrible pain in my liver, terrible pain in the right side of my neck, I'm tired and I get a fever from the back up. I PROMISE I'm a real person/not paid and I haven't found anything else that helps but his product. With weird things going on I even bought an extra bottle out of fear of running out because of how bad things get when I don't take it. ps I've been diagnosed by my doc that there are "spots" on my liver. Heck I was morbidly obese for 20 yrs. I'm not not a bot, I'm not paid. Wish I was paid in a year supply if I was paid.

Yup, I ran into gallbladder sludge while on a prolonged fast I had to back off the extended fasts to clear the sludge. This was a 12 to 18 months after I went keto and did extended fasts every quarter. I would have gallbladder pain after about 18-20 hours of fasting. I had a gallbladder ultrasound scan (probably a good idea), and there were no stones. Having seen something about it on this channel, I figured it was sludge. It took a couple months, but I did clear the sludge. I don't remember if I took TUDCA or not. I did take Dr Berg's Gallbladder formula-one of the few products of his I actually have used. I also took an herbal formula that had Silymarin Milk Thistle, Artichoke Extract, Dandelion Root, Organic Turmeric and Berberine. I researched online, and there were some radical treatments I didn't try because some said they were dangerous. I just waited it out after verifying there were _no_ gallstones.

@@CarbageMan Don't let any MD talk you into having gallbladder removal unless it's truly needed. Make sure it's a last ditch effort. Basically everything that is deep fried with grease and or that has high fat greasy food.
@louk6196
2 жыл бұрын
@@pabloblanco2656 I don’t get this. Eating saturated fat causes the liver to produce bile. It also causes the gallbladder to contract, to push out it’s stored bile to help process the fat. My tiny mind says that eating fat must therefore be a GOOD thing because the gallbladder cannot stagnate and create an environment where sludge and gallstones can form. Surely a low-fat diet is a bad thing. 🤔
@Tatusiek_1
2 жыл бұрын
@@louk6196 He’s one of those fools who still believes fat in meat is unhealthy and that we should avoid saturated fat, which is untrue. The grease on greasy food which has been deep fried is actually rancid SEED oils and sometimes they contain partially hydrogenated oil which then becomes a transfat. This is what you should avoid as it is a strong inflammatory and causes major oxidative stress.

It’s interesting to see all these comments about Tudca. It’s been well known in the underground bodybuilding communities as pretty much the only thing that really offers the most solid protection against the hepatoxic effects of orally consumed anabolic androgen hormones. Someone could have ALT and AST in the 400s for their liver enzymes on blood work indicating their liver is seriously struggling big time and then they begin taking at the very least 500mg but preferably at least a gram a day and within 2 weeks or less in most cases those same enzymes will now be down to the 30s. There is a prescription version you could get your doctor to write for you so you could get it for cheaper potentially if you have good insurance except it’s a bit different instead of TUDCA it’s UDCA the main difference being the TUDCA has a Taurine in the beginning hence the letter T in Tudca for Taurine tauroursodeoxycholicacid. I’ve seen it debated often some people claim the TUDCA to be better while others claim the UDCA to be better I wish I could find a proper study comparing both their benefits and downsides. Now One thing I’m not sure of that if anyone could clarify for me I would appreciate it but only if you really know what you are talking about because the older I get the more I realize how often so many people have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. But here’s my question say with Magnesium Taurate for example after consuming it as it gets processed by your system the magnesium is separated from the Taurine so then at that point you get the benefits of both the Taurine and the magnesium when you take Tudca and it gets processed do you end up with Taurine and Udca separately? Or does it remain as one compound? I’m assuming they have completely different types of bonds but I never took a chemistry class so I don’t know this at all.

Very interesting. I had my gallbladder removed in 2004 after doing a very low fat diet, not really knowing how important good fats are and my doctor believes it is why I developed gallstones. I take ox bile salts now, eat healthily, exercise but when I got my recent cholesterol test it was quite high. I'm not sure if it's because of having no gallbladder or because I've been doing fasting lately and as you state therefore increasing cholesterol.

It may greatly increase your risk of developing Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease based on what AI has to say about it. Several studies suggest that gallbladder removal, also known as cholecystectomy, may be a risk factor for the development of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Here are some key findings: Alterations in bile flow and digestion after cholecystectomy may lead to fat accumulation in the liver (Fatty Liver after Gallbladder Removal: All You Need to Know, 2023). Cholecystectomy may contribute to the development of hepatic steatosis (fatty liver) through metabolic changes, including alterations in bile acid circulation and lipid metabolism (Cholecystectomy Causes Ultrasound Evidence of Increased Hepatic Steatosis, 2016). A study evaluating ultrasonography results in a large cohort found that NAFLD was more common in individuals who had undergone cholecystectomy compared to those without (Cholecystectomy may be a risk factor for NAFLD, 2013). Insulin resistance, a key component of metabolic syndrome, is thought to play a crucial role in the association between cholecystectomy and NAFLD (Cholecystectomy as a risk factor for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease development - HPB, 2020). Cholecystectomy itself may increase the risk of NAFLD progression, highlighting the need to analyze the metabolic consequences of gallbladder removal (Cholecystectomy as a risk factor for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease development - HPB, 2020). In summary, while the exact mechanisms are not fully understood, the available evidence suggests that gallbladder removal may be a risk factor for the development and progression of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

Dear Dr. Berg, thank you so much for you great, informative videos. Much appreciated. Was diagnosed prediabetic in 2015 with H1c of 6.4 but did not pay attention. Nothing was explained. I did not take the prescribed medicine but stopped alcohol for several months and lost 25 lbs and figured I was good. H1c remained at 6.4 for 6-years until I contacted Covid then immediately shot up to 8.6. I was now prescribed Metformin but discovered your enlightening videos and got off carbs and started intermittent fasting about 3-weeks ago. Lost 15 pounds and daily sugar testing has my typical blood sugar under 150. All good,thank you. Question: many of your videos refer to the gall bladder- mine was removed many years ago as was probably many others. Can you elaborate on this condition sometimes when discussing how the gallbladder affects intermittent fasting and diabetes, etc., please? Please accept my gratitude for how you have given me the knowledge to control my own health.

Lest we not forget there are a lot of people who are having choleostasis caused by covid-19. Go look at the peer reviewed papers. I was diagnosed with this. Had Covid-19 when it first came out prior to it being known. Saw my teledoctor so have no X-rays or cat scans but I definitely had it. No liver problems prior to it and last year had a problem with my gallbladder and got cat scan and doc comes in asking me how long I’ve been drinking. I said I don’t drink. Haven’t drank in over seven years. He was totally confused and told me I had a lot and I mean a lot of scars on my liver.

I don’t know if this makes cense but I wasn’t fasting. I’ve had right shoulder pain for about 4 months. They removed my gallbladder 10 days ago and I don’t notice any shoulder pain today I don’t know if it had to do with the gallbladder but I don’t recall injuring my shoulder in anyway. A nurse said I had Colangitis. A student said they got the stone out in one piece & that I’ve had this problem for awhile. In 2010 it seemed like I was going to the ER every year like clockwork but they didn’t know and said it was probably food poisoning. This time the ER really went to town on me. The difference this time was that I woke up with a tiny pain near the right rib and in two hrs I was in full blown stomach pain. This has always happened at night around 1am and at 8am I’m calling my doctor after I’m dehydrated and can’t drink water, & I can hardly breathe. I’m glad they did more for me this time. You have some good videos. My stomach pain is finally subsided enough where I can pay attention and hopefully learn to take care of myself better. Any advice or links to videos or websites is much appreciated. I’m going through your videos but that may take awhile……LOL

How long is considered a fast that would cause this problem?
@wildmansamurai3663
2 жыл бұрын
@@cajunlady4893 I normally don't fast longer than 40 hours. If your fasting 72-hours 96 hours, or anyting past that it would definitely create a bile problem in your gallbladder. That's why I highly suggest alternate-day fasting. When you do eat you can put fats in your food and higher protein which stimulate bile. The worst combination would be prolonged fasting with a low fat diet.

I had sludge and it would give me pain after 18-20 hours. After a deep dive, I found that it's not caused by fasting-it's exposed by fasting. The real problem was the low-fat diet I was on before going keto. Passed the sludge after taking a break from fasting that long.

It seems he does not recommend processed food. The best meals are the ones you prepare at home because you know what's in them. I don't think he recommends snacking either. You don't need to snack if you're getting enough meals. Processed keto snacks may make it harder to keep track of your macros and may train you to crave food outside of mealtimes. Keto snacks are also usually expensive in my country. Reminds me of vegan snacks.
