@@michelecastellotti9172 While that's agreeable, I used to think that was enough, but it's not. One thing the Daleks did constantly in the RTD era other than be threatening...was leave an actual impact on the Doctor and the show itself up until the end of Season 4. At the end of Season 1, even though they weren't the ones who killed him, they pushed the Doctor into an irreversible situation where he had no hope of escaping death/regeneration, which ultimately happened. At the end of Season 2, they forced the Doctor and Rose to separate, both of them a universe apart from each other. At the end of Season 4, provoked Donna's destiny of becoming half Time-Lord and forcing the Doctor to erase her memory. After this, he would not find any companions, and almost turn into his own version of the Master. That's what I miss the most from Dalek stories, they used to affect the Doctor and the story with their presence alone. Here's to hoping RTD brings back that narrative power they had during his previous run

@@bridgeboy4126 I assume so, as well. Though, thinking about it, maybe there's a possibility he *is* Dalton, as well. This could be, I dunno, like, 700-800 years before The End of Time, for all we know, and Armitage simply aged after all that time (and Dalton could have had 350+ years or so left in him, for example), similar to the War Doctor. I mean, I bet quite a number of people debate that Armitage and Dalton are the same incarnation, and that reminds me of the Burnt/Crispy Master debate that went on for years, what with fans thinking he was supposed to be Delgado's version of the character.
