You really took the time to craft (sounds/patterns) that you might plausibly want to use in a production. First video I’ve seen on Life that did that, so thank you! That tam tam is freaking cool - instant industrial!

As a drummer myself (was also a percussionist growing up in school) I really appreciate hearing more musically-crafted examples utilizing recordings of percussion just as I might. Personally a little less interested in using foley/found sounds which is how they are marketing it (capturing sounds from your daily 'life'), which is alright, but I think this will an interesting studio tool for recording instruments and taking them new places. Great examples, especially love the snare and vibraphone sections. Now off to scrape and abuse my cymbals... ;)

thanks so much for your lines. i think both kinds of creating are interesting, but also prefer the instrumental stuff as it’s a creativity boost for my productions very often. my latest track INTO THE OPEN comes out today and there is also some Life material in it. Would appreciate if you have a listen and send some feedback :)

Vielen Dank für deine Mühe for the english audience: Hi Max, your video was truly a game-changer. Thank you very much for your effort. It has given me many new ideas and inspiration. Merci. I have a few questions. How would you best use it to produce a full-fledged track? I've already created some really cool field recording soundscapes with it. And I'm wondering how to best proceed with the cool snippets to create a beat. Just with the export function? In your video, you did a lot of tweaking, especially in the effects section, resulting in some mega nice sounds and soundscapes. How do you go about not just playing around? You could surely record this "live session" with the tweaking in one take (resampling) and use it as a background beat or texture. Do you know if the individual parameters in Ableton are possibly automatable? Like accessing the knobs of LIFE (XLN) from the DAW? That would be another game-changer, I think. Thanks for your effort

hey, thanks for your questions! that's indeed a very interesting topic and Im currently producing a full length tutorial on that as I feel many people are playing around with it, but there's lots more potential when it comes to producing itself. please subscribe and you'll get noticed when the video comes out next week :) best wishes, max

This is far from a must-have. Definitely not even close to being a game-changer… then again, everything new (tehcnology or techniques) are game-changers thiugh, right?
