Tensing up is a nono. Proper posture, equipment, and desk and chair height are crucial too as much as people neglect them. He had totally DESTROYED his room, idk how it even gets to that point. Like... I can't imagine that guy owns his own home, so like.. what's goin on there? His parents house where they're scared to go into his basement lair, in fear of what they might find? Otherwise I have literally no clue how you can basically take out 1/3 of each of your walls because of frickin video games and not be in jail or a mental institution. That clip was crazy!

While I understand getting mad at a game even as a fairly aggressive person I don’t think I’ve ever intentionally destroyed a desk or a monitor or anything of the sort mostly cause I have basic self control and an actual grasp of money so seeing videos like these is really weird to me like I cannot even imagine being that reckless especially around my own things.
@JustinTK416

Right though?! Like I’ve made a point since I was like 10 to not so much as thrash my controller because that costs like… $30 to $60… maybe even $80 to replace (I’m not really sure because, low and behold, [and knock on wood lol] I haven’t had to replace one). Like it’s RARE I rage. Normally only when I get really into something with a good story and get some curve ball section that’s a major difficulty spike and gets me hung up. But after breaking a controller or two when I was young, I resolved to punch myself in the fleshy bit above the knee if I’m just so compelled to hit something. I figure it’ll heal if I leave a bruise (which I don’t think I’ve ever done badly), and if I actually start to hurt myself, then the pain will kinda reorient me and my priorities. Though like… I’m not saying I’ve never just suffered and felt a bit dumb as I tried not to limp the next day. Hell, if anything, I was thinking “Fuck I’m dumb sometimes, but it was worth it.” Honestly, if anything, I wanna find a game that would be worth raging like that over again. As I’ve gotten deeper into my 20s, I’ve felt a bit more detached from life and my interests, and frankly I miss the intensity at which I used to feel things. Getting older kinda sucks. Don’t get to playthings as often and struggle to enjoy it as much when I do. Lol

@@JustinTK416 Regarding getting bored of games it’s alright that’s a normal thing to go through one thing I recommend is trying things you don’t normally play and maybe waiting a bit between the things you do normally play so it doesn’t feel so over saturated I’d also recommend generally playing games in a different way to make it feel different for example even something as simple as only using melee in a game where you’re expected to use ranged weapons it’s not a miracle cure or anything but it does definitely make playing games feel more fun hope it helps:)

As a teenager, I once punched a hole through my computers disk drive. It wasn’t gamer rage though-my computer blue screen of death-ed as I was writing an important end of year essay that I had spent hours on and was due the next day. That said, it’s much better to take a break than to break the things around you when you get frustrated, and that’s how I’ve always dealt with rage-inducing games. I mean, I definitely swear a lot when things aren’t going my way, but I never direct it at other people, and I don’t yell. I won’t deny that gamer rage is funny to watch on the internet, but I don’t think I’d find in nearly so humorous if, say, my significant other became so out of control after playing a game that they damaged our home or personal property. Maybe it’s because I’m a woman, but the idea of being in a relationship with someone who gets angry to the point of having no control over themselves is kind of scary.
