Very cool. I played this game at the Battle Bunker HQ years ago. Lots of fun

@dedge8030 Oh cool. You're the first person who I've heard from who has actually played it! I'm planning to read through the rules and try a solo game soon.

Nice job! Would love to find a copy of this at a reasonable price

@nraketh I was very lucky to find mine for its RRP in a small local hobby shop around 2015. The game had long been OOP at that point so it must have been sat on the shelf for many years. Good luck! I'm sure a good deal will be out there.

I used the examples in the rulebook to paint my set. Took me a long time. I also have the metal models that were released

@farpointgamingdirect Oh wow! I'd love to pick up the metal models but I'm not willing to pay the current rate. I did pick up one thing at a decent price but other than that I've been buying third-party alternatives.

GW should have known you cannot use "evil" paint colours on the good guys. Better to slightly change the formula and sell separate bottles for each alignment with suitable labels, like "Niblet Green" & "Loren Forest", for the elves. This would increase sales/profits contributing to the business strategy of maximizing shareholder value. Oh wait, this guide was written 20 years ago, they have those colour labels now 😉Also, you did a great job in reading the passage from The Hobbit!

@shawnzeppo4361 You're on to something, like Diet Coke and Coke Zero! Who thought Vomit Brown was acceptable though...

@@TimelessTabletopGaming Just for the record, Coke Zero tastes much better, but I'd rather go for a pint.

Great video, very enjoyable. I really like your background to the table, did you make it yourself or purchase it? Thanks again.

@@bigbattleslittleworlds Thanks a lot! I painted the back drop. I watched a few tutorials on beginner landscape acrylic art and practiced on a few small canvasses. When I was happy(ish) with one I just recreated it on a large canvas. Look up 'Eavy Lead Scenic Backdrop on KZitem for a good starting point if you fancy making one yourself!

That's a huge Thrush.

@reluctantheist5224 I've since realised that it was probably supposed to be a raven. I'd forgotten the bit where the Dwarves talk to a raven called Roäc, and it's the ravens that send for Dain. I don't think they ever interact with Gandalf and Bilbo though and Tolkien does describe the Thrush at the door of Erebor as 'enormous' so who knows?

@@TimelessTabletopGaming Yup, it is a Raven. The Ravens were the messengers, the thrush was just a prophecy fulfiller, though the Thrush DID summon one of the Ravens to get them in touch with each other
