It is alright. The Church (Body of Christ) is universal. Marami rin nmn mga awitin ang mga non-Catholics (esp.the born-again Christians, Methodist, Baptists, Anglicans) na inaawit din nating mga Roman Catholics. Sometimes, we even sing those songs during Communion, bec.they are truly uplifting, and really aid in our worship of GOD. Non-Roman Catholics ang gumawa ng mga awiting Still, Shine (Jesus, Shine), Hesus (Kung nag-iisa, at nalulumbay...), Amazing Grace, Shout to the Lord, & Who Am I? ^_^

1:28 Why is the lyrics changed???!!! The lyrics of the whole song is written by St Augustine of Hippo. IT IS A DIRECT CONVERSATION WITH THE DIVINE... God is Hiddenly implied in the lyrics to signify Man's natural tendency to look for Him but it is ruined. Uhmm Just analyze the song...

Yes. A Christian will be able to understand fully the richness of the text if he is be able to see the context of the life of St. Augustine himself -- his life is a life in which he constantly searched for the truth and the "beautiful." His life is a life full of failures yet replenished by hope. And during the times which he nearly wanted to accept defeat, he finally gazed upon the "beauty of the Eternal God" -- which is indirectly explained at the ending part of the song through dynamics and the lyrics itself (which pictures peace and a happy death opening the life everlasting before the very eyes of a repentant soul). It is not bad to "add" "Diyos" to the song, but it is actually "automatic." It is not a surprise if "Diyos" is not mentioned during the whole song for the "Diyos" can only be "seen" by those who "know" and "who want to know" God; these are the Christians. Example? If faith is badly lacking in a Christian, he would mistakenly consider "ganda" as cosmetic beauty, but if he has faith, he will be able to see the hidden message of St. Augustine that "the kagadahan and the pagiging sariwa" pertain to God alone. This can only be explained by St. Augustine to a Christian Heart humble enough to hear the hidden and implied message of the Augustine's Confessions. The richness of the Catholic songs from ancient texts is far beyond mere "hearing" but "listening with a Heart

it's a clear and beautiful rendition of the song but they should have not changed the lyrics..yes, this song is for God but it was meant to be hidden inside the song which adds more meaning and mystery to it.
