Baba Ghulam Rasool, known as Baba Goma, lives in a village called Waddi Raakh in tehsil and district Pakpattan, Punjab, Pakistan. His village is 3 km from Pakpattan.
Before partition, Baba Goma tells, he lived in his native village Gander near Muktsar. Gander was a village of hindus, sikhs and muslims. They were living in peace. Life was good.
There were two mosques in Gander. His father dies two months before his birth and his mother also left the world after few months of his birth. His elder sister, who was married in Bahmni wala village, brought him up.
In partition riots hindus and sikhs of his village did not harm the muslims rather they helped them in loading their belongings over bullockcarts and escorted all muslims to Pakan (a village where muslims were in majority).
It was a tough journey to Pakistan. He tells how he settles in a village near Pakpattan
His story is unique and untold. It is worth-listening.
