Lord Shiva most of the times remain outside meditating...so mother Parvati (manifestation of Shakti(energy)) because of motherhood she shaped a boy from clay and then gave her life...once she was bathing she ordered Lord Ganesha to look that no one enters inside...any god who came to visit Devi Parvati was send back by Ganesha...then Shiva returned to Kailash and saw a boy with a weapon in his way.he asked him to move which Ganesha refused by saying I will only listen to mother's order . Shiva replied it means u r my son now let me go..but instead he attacked other Demi gods. which Shiva could not tolerate since every creature or Demi gods were like his children and then Ganesha even attacked Shiva ... Which made him angry so he cut his head off with his trident which was filled with ego..when mother Parvati heard his sons voice ,she took the form of Durga (a warrior goddess) and suddenly universe became unbalanced every other god pleaded her to come in her original form but she said until Lord Shiva will not bring Ganesha to life she will not cool down...then Shiva sent other gods to go and search for a kid who is sleeping facing the north direction and his mother shud not be facing him which means she doesn't care about her kid...Demi gods searched the leangth and breadth of the world but the only life they could find was an elephant ... Shiva is also called BaidyaNath (Lord of medicines) he brought Ganesha back to life, then every other god gave Ganesha boons..and at lest Shiva gave boon that from know you will be Pratham poojya which means you will be prayed first , even if someone wants to pray Shiva Vishnu or Brahma without taking Ganeshas name thr wishes will not be fulfilled... Now don't think that how Shiva can order to bring life of any kid what about his mother.. Thr are millions of stories in Hinduism and every story is connected.. So what happened is that elephant baby in his last life asked Shiva for a boon that he wants to be born as his kid... And also why Shiva cut Ganesha's head: Surya the son god became too egoistic and started destroying things ... to stop him Shiva killed Surya..but when Surya died entire planetry system became dark, also the Father of God Surya Sage Kashyap became ferrocious and cursed Shiva that like u killed my son similary one day u will have kill ur son...( In Hinduism even gods have accept fate)..others gods pleaded shiva to bring Surya back to life or else humans will die ,so Shiva bring him back to life..and said Sage Kashyap that I accept ur curse...Sage kasyap said I am sorry Shiva u r god of Gods u don't have accept my curse but Shiva replied all these rules are created by me I cannot go against in this way he accepted that curse upon him.

One beautiful thing is that Thai people and culture do not reject ancient beliefs, Hinduism, Buddhism and Chinese taoism. They absorbed all the best points of all these ancient beliefs and created a unique Thai belief that transcends all the modern notions of my religion vs your religion concept. As an indian tamil hindu who lived and worked in Thailand twenty years ago, I am fascinated by new Thai reality that enriched their arts, literature, music ,dance and sculpture. The historical links between tamil kings of southern India and Sri Vijaya Empire has many evidences. I am most probably certain that it was chola kings and later pallava kings who introduced Hinduism to southeast Asia. In Hinduism, Ganesa or Vinayaka is the first God to be worshipped before embarking on any new activities. Ganesa is an elephant headed God and all the ceremonies begin only after invoking His blessings. Ganesh Chaturthi is lord Ganesa s birthday celebrations.

I enjoyed watching this video. Ganesha is a prominent Hindu Deity worshipped as the “Lord of Beginnings” and the “Remover of Obstacles.” Ganesha’s shrine can be found near the entrance or in the center of any Hindu temple. Ganesha is traditionally worshipped before any major enterprise. The Ganesha story is symbolic. In the Upanishad, Ganesha is identified with Brahman. Ganesha is worshipped in many southeast Asian countries also by Buddhists. Today in Buddhist Thailand, Ganesha is regarded as a remover of obstacles, the god of success Thailand regards Ganesha mainly as the god of arts and academics. The belief was initiated by King Vajiravudh of Chakri Dynasty.

There is a saying that Brahma cannot be worshipped in any form by humans, like we use idols and nature to worship other gods.. and almost every Hindu believes that Brahma is supreme lord and creator but we cannot worship him with the help of nature as nature itself is created by him ..

cuz they are Rigvedic gods. Modern Hinduism is essentially derived from the Upanishads (700-500 BC), and needs Reincarnation to be prevalent as an umbrella faith of an entire subcontinent. Its a well known fact that RigVedic faith believed in an afterlife instead of reincarnation. Whereas the concept of Samsara (reincarnation) was introduced after the Vedic period, through the Upanishads. Subsequently, later books like Manusmriti, Mahabharata, etc talk exclusively about reincarnated gods in Krishna, Ganesha, etc. This is why they are not worshipped in India. Cultures of South East Asia outside the Indian subcontinent largely remained unaffected by the Upanishadic movements and Sanskritisation, so its natural that they still worship the RigVedic gods. Buddhism also rose around/just after the time of the Upanishads (500 BC), becoming the primary faith of most of South East Asia. This helped preserve what was already previously worshipped, ie, the RigVedic gods.

For those who are confused why they worship hindu gods, it is because there ancestors were hindus so when they became Buddhist there was no philosophy of god in Buddhism to remove your sorrow, pain or support so they continued worship of different dieties as to get inner support with inner peace they are getting from. This is the case in nearly every Buddhist country even in India Hindus pray buddha for inner peace.

@M.Karbaschi Do you know everything about world /universe ???? Once upon a time people believed that sun is moving around earth, is that true now ? Do you know about multiverse ? Thousands of years before jesus born in Hindu text there is multiverse concept in Hinduism. First Plastic surgery is from India. Scientists now discovered 7 -8 dimensions. Vedas mention 11 dimension.Prambrahma have 64 dimension. Everything is story until they are proven. And Hindu mythology main aim is to give people life lessons. In this story the lesson is , If you become egoistic and overestimate your power your head will be chopped off. People don't know about 5th stage of matter, when it got recently discovered people start believing it. The fact is Vedas and our shastra have profound knowledge, but it get only acknowledged when some people re discover the same thing.
