I recently spent some time in Liverpool and found it to be a warm friendly city, where there is lots to do and see and the people are really nice. This programme shows the 'other Liverpool' the one that exists in certain select areas but I had no idea about that when I was there. Liverpool, if you guys actually LISTEN FOR ONCE, is actually one of the respected and cultured city ever to be known and 95% of the residents who live there give you all the respect that you need. They make you feel welcome, they will ask you if you want anything from the newsagents and they will get it for you, they will even become friends with you and also get you a pint. Croxteth Crew and Norris Green Lads are the only gangs in Liverpool and they are not even that big of a gang. I understand why and how they live and I respect that... they have their reasons you all do not. In fact, do your homework, go the library and look up the history of liverpool and its people and you will be shocked of how lovely we are... plus we have been rated the 3rd best city to visit and live in all the entire world.

I get what you are saying but that was just made up when they gave it that title to generate much needed tourism, just lile glasgow was given a such a similar title. Both cities arent the best and certainly not the best place in the world to visit. You need to think who bestowed such a title. Riff raff aside though, liverpool could thrive in to a vast metropolis, it certainty has the means and the population but are outdone by other cities everytime because said riff raff have dragged the cities name down and has been labeled as a broke, dead end city with no prospects whose people are happy living like gypsies. If they clear up the image of Liverpool being a "tough town" then the city would be doing much better. Afterall, thats such a shit title to have.

These kids need some proper friends and people that respect them. They behave like this out of anger and frustration. It's the same for any ex-ganger, they will tell you that once they started meaning something to someone else, they could get out of it. People want to, and need to be appriciated and liked by their fellows. Kids like these are a prime example of being treated bad and acting bad, a vicious circle.

The worst thing for me is not what people write about my city on here but that so many people are small minded. It's easy to not give a fuck, or be a tough guy when you've got little hope for your life. Been there, still grinding now, it's a sad state of the struggle many people go through in this country. A lot of do haves, ignore this but get their salve by watching programmes like this. But they won't lift a finger to stop it.

If being a money lender and smashing someone's mothers house up is a 'proper boy' then I guess headbutting an auntie into a freezer and laughing about it makes her a 'proper mother' and yes I am referring to the Mofo version I left Liverpool with my 'proper son' who now has a proper job and is still properly alive - this is the problem with society - bad parenting and making excuses when kids turn into the same criminals as their parents - did her headbutt attack land HER in court I wonder?
