Nice update. Got a bit concerned watching that open door in that wind - had visions of you losing another PT. 😯 I hate this awful wind, I've been inside all day, but now have cabin fever. Never mind, tomorrow looks to be better weather and it could be worse - Spain and Greece are suffering inferno conditions. A few Sungold toms have ripened, but no Gardeners Delight yet, despite the fact those seeds were sown weeks earlier. By the way, you're looking very healthy Dan, you and the Dixie Red are thriving.

Tomatoes do seem to be on the go slow this year. A bit less wind here today I'm glad to say. Thanks Tracy. Its being outside a lot I think!

Been really enjoying the bounty of blackberries. Birds clearly made it happen as I've never planted any.

The link you sent me on the spotted wing drosophila fly does seem to be the little monster that has been eating my ripe raspberries. These same little guys looked to be part of the pollinator force 6 weeks ago. At least now I know how to deal with them. Thank you!!!

@homegardens7682 i have to be careful when I'm weeding and hoeing. I recently pulled a muscle in my back when I used electric hedge trimmers. Container growing is the best option for me right now. I'm growing some tropical veg outside but this blustery weather makes me wonder if I should relocate stuff into my plastic greenhouse.

Container growing is great. That could be a good idea Louise

Do you water the polytunnel through the winter? Cheers great videos :)

I keep some of the pots damp etc and any seedlings I am bringing on etc. It depends, when growth is very slow or has stopped I will keep things more on the dry side to try and avoid rot etc.

@@homegardens7682 the witch finger seeds I got from ebay, they were expensive, a couple of quid for a few seeds... I'm not exactly sure if home growers should have them, it could be a commercial grape? Well I've got something growing... I say witch finger because that's the description of the seeds I bought, for all I know it could be just regular grape seeds haha! It's been flowering for almost 2 weeks now, the flowers are white, after I wiggle my finger inside the flower, it drops off a day after... I'm guessing grapes come next?
@homegardens7682

@jasonanthonywebster8859 aha yes. Sadly grapes grown from seed are unlikely to grow true to type so even if they are witch finger seeds it's very unlikely the resulting plant will be a witch finger plant. Sorry to say that though.

I too have had a great year with raspberries. The Tayberry you recommended a couple of years ago if now a very large plant and gives absolutely mountains of large fruit. The peach trees look awesome. thanks mate, keep up the good work

Well done Dan, you get great results from small spaces. Very good results on the peaches. I've never grown a successful cauliflower, they usually bolt, so will try "all the year round" and see if some of your green fingered magic comes my way. My runner bean crop has been ruined by blackfly but done well on most other crops. Regards Keith

It seems a good variety. It performed well last year. My soil here I have improved over time, adding compost and mulch regularly, no dig style.

@@homegardens7682 That's a good advert for no dig Dan. I've been a fan of no dig for nigh on 50 years but currently back to digging to get rid of chafer grubs.
