Join us as we stop at family-friendly wildlife sanctuaries along the Garden Route in South Africa.
Our first stop in this video is at Monkeyland. Monkeyland is just outside of Plettenberg Bay and is the world’s first free-roaming multi-species primate sanctuary. We were able to arrive right at opening and get a private guided tour. We loved learning about this sanctuary and we were able to see lemurs, spider monkeys, gibbons, and more.
We then headed right across the street to Birds of Eden. Birds of Eden is the world’s largest free-flight bird aviary and houses more than 3,500 birds. The dome covers 2 km of boardwalks, a restaurant, and several ponds. After the guided tour through Monkeyland, it was nice to stroll through the sanctuary on our own time.
We are so excited to be sharing this South African series and we hope that you guys are enjoying watching it! If you liked this video, give it a 'thumbs up' and leave us a comment down below!
