How good it is to know this side of you, we've seen cats, a dog, and now this flowerbed, I live in an apartment, but I have my little plants, my five, kittens, abandoned to their own fate, and a dozen hummingbirds , that every single day, enter the apartment, through the window to drink their sweetened water, in the beginning, there were only two, today there are more than twelve hummingbirds, congratulations friend. You know my friend, learn not to expect too much from people. She creates few expectations, after all, nobody is the way we want. Everyone has their own way of thinking. It's better to be surprised than disappointed

Just an observation (besides the need for a respirator) you should move your compost 75' away from your garden because the grubs will find it and live there happily for the winter snug and warm...then ravage your garden. Really love the work you do. xo

Beautiful garden!! In 2001, we moved from Massachusetts to North Dakota, on the Canadian border(I could see Canada from my front yard), and we would go out picking Saskatoon berries (June berries is what we were taught) every year, along with choke cherries and other wild edibles. Saskatoons are, indeed, superior to blue berries, in my opinion. We moved back to New England in 2007, and have fantasized about planting saskatoon bushes here ever since. For some reason, we haven't pulled the trigger. I wonder if they will do well. The winters here are NOTHING, temperature-wise, compared to North Dakota winters, and not nearly as long. I wonder if the saskatoon needs that long, cold winter to get things going properly. Maybe next spring (2022) we'll give it a shot.

And in your compost ben you can add sawdust its great to. I use to work for a street dept for 17 years and all the leaf's from the city we sucked up and had like 25 acre we dumped it on in rows And one dump truck full of leaf's after it all composted down will all fit in a pick truck lol lol that is how much it compost down. >>>> one trick to composting is keep it wet! then it rot away faster. And one more thing do not put in your compost pill is ( tomato ) lol lol You can NOT kill them off they will grow in compost that been setting for 5 years!!

This is such a nice veggie garden! I love the raised beds. I'd love to know if you filled them all the way down, or if they have like a filler material (not soil, just something to fill the space) from ground level to partway up? It's just come into spring here in the southern hemisphere so I'm looking forward to planting out tomatoes soon.

Ok Soul Sister! I too planted a large garden in 2020. I call it, "The Garden of Rage." There is no way I would have dug up a large section of the lawn under normal circumstances. The next year I replaced the ugly metal fence posts with a wooden fence. My son and one daughter, who were home from college, helped me dig the original garden and my husband helped me with the cement for the many fence posts. I love your garden and I too find peace in mine. After a busy hot day at the hardware store I love finding something fresh to harvest. I also made a three part compost bin. LOL! My husband says, "Can you not plant so many tomato plants this year?" And two years ago I planted raspberry and blueberry bushes outside of the fence. Thanks for your wonderful videos!
