I had a housemate who was adamant about lowering the heat. He gave up after I pointed out that if we just SHUT the heat for two weeks, we'd save enough to stay warm all winter. It wouldn't have bothered me, I had serious winter gear.
@Dcrainmaker

Haha...yeah, things got incredibly expensive last winter for heating (radiators using gas). Mind-boggling expensive. The rates are a lot lower this winter, but I haven't bothered to change all the smarthome automation routes/systems I put in place (which halved our bill last winter, literally overnight). As Des can attest the last few weeks, it's a weeee bit chilly in the house.

I would add that Oura uses the temperature readings to determine if you’re potentially sick. I’ve often received the “are you feeling okay? You might want to turn on rest mode because your body temperature was elevated last night” kind of prompt from Oura and it’s usually if I am sick or starting to get sick.

I'm old and I train quite a bit, a nap tracker would be REALLY helpful. But alas, I have an old 735xt and it doesn't get any of these updates. Or any updates. You know how these big companies roll. "Buy our expensive products, and even though they're still perfectly fine 6-8 years later, we're going to force you to buy a new product because we won't provide any support for your old product." Really makes me mad.

I just wish the yoga app was structured differently. It has "Pose 1" like it's expecting me to click a button in between poses. I don't really see any instance where someone would do that - in a yin class, I'd be too busy breathing through the poses, and in my more usual flow / power classes, the change of pose happens too frequently.

With this update, they removed a feature: Manual weather location. Where I live, there is a military airport that gives wrong weather info, so I was manually selecting somewhere else that is close. But they removed this from the Connect app. Now I am stuck with that airport, and the info is way off, which messes up my VO2Max calculations...

Thanks for news, at last it takes in to account the afternoon nap or siesta, that was available on much cheaper watches. As to weather locatiions not much good as garmin are not capable of providing a good weather location data. I use the watch for cycling and can never get weathet location for where i live. And there is a weather station and weather apps that give me the correct data, garmin just gives me the weather of Alicante airport 60km away. Took up the matter with garmin spain but they said that was normal, it also happened to them, 0 proactvity to pass the information up the chain. Are you in contact with the development team?

I really can't stand when companies like Garmin and Apple use forced obsolescence on their products. They both make great products, don't get me wrong, which is why I buy them. So why do they then want to punish me for having a 735xt by not allowing any of these updates to be supported by my watch? I get that I don't have certain hardware features that would allow some of these updates to function, but some of them would. So eventually I have to sell or store a perfectly good running watch because it's now obsolete. Same with my VERY expensive phone. And then they think that after being treated like that I'm going to run out and buy their latest and greatest model? Not even the slimmest of chances.
