I just did the switch. After 7 years with different Apple Watches I was tired of the battery. As soon as I was a bit active, the battery ran out during the day. Since I already use Garmin on my bike I chose a Garmin watch. Forerunner 965. And my only regret is that I didn’t switch a long time ago 😅

I always like the body battery feature on garmin and it correlates well to how energetic or tired I am really feeling that day. Similarly the sleep on garmin gives you a easy to understand summary of your sleep - Apple needs to make more sense of its metrics in a practical non-technical way so ppl can understand

thanks for review! I've bought garmin venu 2s and I absolutely love it! I even started running, which I thought will never happen. It really encourages me to move my ass in cardio ways! That's a pity that bouldering and rope climbing are not measurable and it's unsafe for watch to wear it during climb. This is the only sport I am training hard right now and I know these activities are available on garmin, I think they are useless. But for making enough steps/running/cycling and measuring sleep it is a great device. I love it.

Thank you for this review! I also have an Apple Series 4 watch that I’ve had for many years, but I’m so tired of it dying before the end of the day. Upgrading to a new iWatch wouldn’t fix the battery issue probably. It’s useless especially on days I’m more active. I stopped tracking workouts. I honestly don’t use a lot of the Apple Watch apps, and want something that I can actually use for working out. I wonder if the Garmin watch connects ok with iPhones. I do really like being able to use my Apple Watch to pause/skip when I’m listening to Spotify, podcast, etc. and it’s convenient to see if someone texted me. I also use my watch a lot to ping my phone when I can’t find it. Since those are about the only useful Apple Watch features for me, I’m thinking of upgrading to the Garmin Venu2s for more battery life and fitness focus.

I did the switch recently, I was tired about my apple watch’s battery life, and got the new garmin venu 3 But I just can’t get used to it. I think the apple watch is way more intuitive, easier to deal with, the vibration is more subtle and the list goes on for me. The one bad thing for me is the battery life and thats it. Going back to apple 🤷🏻♀️ I don’t hate the garmin, but far from loving it 😮💨

To each their own!! It definitely takes about a week to get used to especially if you’re so used to Apple! I personally will NEVER go back to Apple after using the Garmin, it’s just so much better at tracking the things I care about in terms of health and fitness! If you like notifications, texting, calling, apps, etc; go with Apple…if you want to really measure different health insights; go with Garmin!!!

I am waiting for venu 3s review, I also want to upgrade to it! After a year of using venu 2s I am so glad I bought it and venu 3s regeneration and HRV together with morning reports looks amazing. Also bigger screen yay! I see my comment from year ago, I stopped running after aporx 10 times, I just don't like it, I prefer other ways of movement. For me garmin is good at strength training, I can see how much I am resting between reps! I only wish new version wouldn't have calling feature since it boosts the price... I feel like or reviews from men are mostly useless, they only show us data, not the actual user experience which is far way more important... Also I would like to know - does the white/light color strap gets dirty?

Great video. I’ve been using Apple Watch for over 6 years; I’m a runner, cyclist, hiker, mountaineer… as of result of the poor battery, lack of topological maps, specialized physiological parameters… I’m thinking in going Garmin. However, several KZitem channels are pointing towards poor heart rate sensor accuracy, and therefore, all metrics derived from it might be compromised… what do you think of this? Are you agree? Have you seen such claims? Thanks.

Just adding in from my own perspective, I think it also depends on how the watch fits on your wrist and where you wear it. Garmin models that are too heavy tend to move around a lot on your wrist, which may result in a less accurate reading. So pick a lighter and smaller watch will help, and also wearing the watch 2 fingers above the wrist bone helps too.
