My mother loved Gary Moore, when she died aged 77 we played Empty Rooms at her funeral and they will be playing it at mine. Gary made that guitar cry, such feeling in his playing. I’m 66 now and he’s still my hero.

I'm 47 years old, I grew up listening to this gentleman, thanks to his songs and others too, I love guitars almost since I was born. He is no longer with us but will live on in our hearts. Your songs will live forever. Thank you, Gary, wherever you are. 🙌🙌🙌

It's a shame, there isn't a classic keyboard intro like the one on the Wild Frontier record. I learned to play the whole song, quite well, but I miss that intro, which strongly reminds me of a sunrise somewhere in the mountains. Otherwise, this song is one of the most beautiful creations that Gary gave us. Gary, let your guitar weep in the choir of angels, where you have been for several years...

I love this rendition. He knows just what notes are important and plays only those notes while nurturing each note to its full glory. The pauses are timed just long enough for your ears and brain to fully appreciate while still being in perfect company with the rest of the notes. I've lost track of how many times I've listened to this particular upload before I have commented. RIP Gary Moore

RIP Gary, I was at this show 2/04/87 , my first concert, I brought a 12inch single of a song taken from the wild frontier album a while after ,and on the b side is this live version ,I couldn’t believe it when I saw the date of the show, met him years later and he signed it for me , amazing guitarist, the best live album has to be ‘ we want Moore’

I can't even describe how fucking good 12:00 - 12:05 sounds... I've listened to those 5 seconds twenty times, or something. He was an incredible guitarist, but sometimes he was more than that; he was a magician! He could pull off stuff live that other "incredible guitarists" MAYBE can pull off the eleventh try in the studio.
