I heard this song on the radio in our offices in the 80’s..before you could easily get the information. I phoned the radio station and asked for its name and bought the album. Fast forward 40 years of my life…and it still gives me goosebumps.🇨🇦

Gary Morris....ah, he takes me right back to Memphis Tennessee and it’s 1987. I came home to UK, bought his album and this hauntingly beautiful song was on it. Great underestimated voice. Love it still.

I have this on record. It was my mom's. The lyrics tell of a man, remembering of a girl he loved that died. The boys say the house is haunted, the opening lyrics, sense that they believe to have seen a ghost or heard the story of one, and he believes it is the ghost of her, and he goes into the abandoned house, remembering times he had with her there. Talking about going to the drug store where they used to get drinks, and he went to cemetery and found her grave. What I take from it, is he is broken hearted and he has never gotten over what had happened.
