Pleasure Principle and Berserker are 2 of my favourite Gary Numan albums. Dark, strangely uplifting and utterly brilliant music. Still can't decide which of the two I like best

As a Gen Z numanoid it’s very upsetting his discography from 84-87 is off streaming platforms. It’s also lonely being a gen z numanoid lol

This is a vastly underrated sound. Even now. Don't pretend that the 1980s goliaths celebrated today would have happened without him.

Such an important stage in Numan's career. He had to fight at the time, and his commitment shines through. Wonderfully eccentric, uniquely unreal. A true legend 💙

I first got into Gary Numan about 20 years ago when I borrowed Hybrid from my neighbour. I followed his music forward through the years, but only recently did I think to follow it backwards too. Turns out I missed a lot of awesomeness. This is one of my favourites.

Have seen Gary Numan live several times and he is always brilliant. Have been a massive fan since I was about eleven. I grew up with this music, and the associated scene. Just as good to listen to now as it ever was.

i'm forever playing little snippets of his material. he is a genius... no question... but his new 'mad-max' stuff is disappointing. i'm subscribing to your channel, in the hope you put up some playlist's of your music tastes... ❤

This song is a masterpiece that could have been even better than it actually is. Incredible arrangement, deep lyrics, huge stage presence. This is like a proto-industrial or something, I don't know. Still, Berserker period is incredible, even though the respective album is uneven. Cheers from Russia, fellow Numanoinds! I hope your western governments will stop sponsoring murdering my brothers (Russian AND Ukrainian) soon enough. Sorry for being political, I'm just drunk. At 6 o'clock I felt so alone... please understand, will you:)

This was the beginning of Numan's decline. The single only reached 32, Numan blamed Radio 1 which is just a massive cop out. The music and image became a big turn off as far as the public were concerned. Personally I love the Berserker image and album.

@@outpost31737 it's not always about sales. It's about finding music that can mean something to you. Personally, Berserker is probably my second favourite Gary Numan record, only second perhaps to Telekon. I love the look and atmosphere it had. Currently trying to collect as much from that era as i can as well. I do think Warriors was a bit of a step back though. Rarely do i have listen to more of that album than the title track. The live versions of some of those songs on White Noise are great though
