Elvis Presley said in the 1960s that Gary Puckett had the best pop voice in the music industry...Gary Puckett and the Union Gap sold more records than the BEATLES in 1968...I dont know about you, but Im impressed!!!😀😆😀😆😀😆😎😎

I was lucky enough to see Gary this past summer - and his voice is still awesome - He is more handsome today than he was in his younger days ..... absolutely gorgeous !!

This is the first time I have heard this song and I LOVE IT!!! Love how it seems effortless for him to reach the higher notes. Sounds just as good now as his earlier recordings.

A truly beautiful song sung by a Master. Though it is a long way from the 60s/70s and a very powerful voice, you still evoke a wondrous musical magic. It sounds effortless and with a nuance that comes with age. Gary you are priceless!!! Thank you Mark for this post. It is greatly appreciated.

@TOMBANCROFT I've made the same observation. I guess that goes for all of our favorite groups from the decade of the 1960s and 70s. I was only a lad of eight when he peaked the charts in late 1969. I wish I were able to have met him way back then. Met him three times at his concerts; August, 1995, October of 2008 and earlier this year, January / February 2011.

Gary's voice doesn't quite have the magic of his younger days, Seems to be a little strained these days, but he certainly gave us some fantastic records over the years. Thanks for the memories Gary!
