I like ur videos 👍🏻I also bought a ec350 and racing it for a few months now.Coming of a ec300 2 stroke,I really love this bike now with good suspension set up and a custom cdi and a complete HGS exhaust system with airbox modifications. It has a lot more power now but still smooth and handling of the bike is so much better than the 300i. Keep posting videos of the 350F 👍🏻

Thanks for watching, unfortuantly I had to sell the bike due to injury. Glad you're enjoying yours.

First channel I've seen that is honest about how bad these forks are stock. Felt all the same issues on my 2022 EC300 until Suspension Matters sorted them out 👌

Thanks Bobby. No point lying or misleading people, there's already enough journalists and people being paid to do that. What did you get done to your forks?

@@loveoffroadaus Revalved, compression adjuster was converted to a high speed adjustment and low speed added to the bottom of the fork. Heaps plusher and predictable, plus the clickers have way more adjustment now. Would love to see how big the difference is going to a closed cartridge setup like yours
@loveoffroadaus

That's the same option I am leaning towards with mine. The closed cartridge set up is really good for a racer more than a trailrider in my opiniom, I find them a little stiffer over small trail trash compared to an open cartridge fork. Once I get these gas gas forks fixed I'll try do a comparison video.

Hey mate your 5 episodes are really great on above all honest!! Well done Am in the market for a 250 f to ride the four days this year, think gas gas After you de restricted the muffler did it get more decibels out , you know can’t ride it if too loud in the 4 days , cheers fab

Hi, yes the molded exhaust is louder but I'd be pretty confident it would still test under the spec to race. It's quiter than an aftermarket with spark arrestor in it.

Before I sold the bike I was running and open cartridge set up in the stock forks, turns them back into an open chamber design and worked a treat for trailriding and enduro. They felt as good as mine fully set up closed cartridge forks with kashima coating, while the CC's can handle a bigger hit, i found they needed to be ridden much harder ( my 90% sprint pace) to feel good. Where as the open chambers felt better the more tired i got through a big ride. I think that set up from Dave at suspension matters was better value for money than 6500 cartridges.

The 22 model huskies come with the same braktec brake and clutch components as the gasgas. The gassers are fantastic value in comparison. I saved enough money by the cheaper purchase price to get the suspension dialled and protection parts installed with some spare change.

I recently learned that which is very surprising that KTM would have their cheap bikes and premium biks running the same components.

@@loveoffroadaus the biggest laugh is the erzberg 300s. I seen one at the local dealer a few months back. Price was $19500 or thereabouts. Its just bolt on bling and standard suspension. Wtf? 🥴

Yeah I don't see value in them, but plenty of guys riding around with them so obviously KTM have their marketing working well.

I ended up derestricting it and really liked the power delivery. I ended up with 13/50 gearing for the type of riding here.

@@loveoffroadaus Do you feel the bike is running lean after this mod? I have a 2024 EXC-F 350 with Euro map and I am wondering if removing this coned baffle make the bike run lean?

@Shifter_83 yes derestricting the exhaust will make lean problems worse, that's why I got the ecu remapped to suit

These forks sound concerning - would an average trail rider notice it?
@loveoffroadaus

I think the issues are more noticeable if you are heavier than what they are sprung for. I think it's around 75-80kg. You'll also notice it more if your riding faster rougher style riding vs slower technical style riding.

the front end is shit, i tried harder , softer, but the deflection was dangerous. my last bikes prior were yamaha and TM so the KYB suspension is in a different league, so much more fun and compliant, less "oh shit" moments and more confidence.

Stock yes, modified no. I am trialing a set of xplors with some internal mods from Dave at suspension matters. So far they are on par with my kashima / dlc coated custom built closed cartridges. Which is pretty amazing considering they are only %20 of the cost of the CC's.
