Who else gets this kind of inside coverage? Love the content. Even more so around this time of year.

The RACER Channel and David Land can get it done! Same with Mighty Mack as well

This is awesome! I always love being in gasoline alley, but never really know what I'm seeing, so this was very helpful.

i wish Indycar got this technical, they rely too much on trying to make the series a show, lots of music and hyped commentary when most of their fan base wants content like this!

Great behind the scene video to see some Indy tech that they never show on the broadcast.

Love this, Marshall! Would also love a tech deep deive on the wheel guns. They look heavy, are they? How do they survive all of the abuse from being thrown around like a shop towel? What's the regular maintenance and quality/performance assurance program like? Do they run on compressed air, or nitrogen, or what?

On Legge’s car, does the left rear appear higher than the right rear or is it an optical illusion?

It very much appears so, oval setups are asymetric so not surprising. My guess is they're running a lower left-rear ride height than right-rear to allow for more compression in the rear right when it gets loaded up in the corners and/or shifting the weight of the car to the left to more evenly balance the tire loading over a lap

Ask Roger Penske in 1995 how important having a flat scale to make your adjustments is. Because they overlooked that simple things, none of their adjustments to the car did what they were suppose to do and even with a Lola chassis, all three of his cars failed to qualify. When Paul Tracy was rehired later that year, they did a test around Indy with the scale flat and put in a time that would put him in the Top 10.

@@danielhenderson8316 it was a tongue and cheek response to what Marshall said. I've used a MK Technologies flat pad for over 25yrs now. Now we use the "Setup Wizard" hub stands on GT cars. The flat pad does NOTHING but give you a consistent platform to work from no matter if you are in the shop or at the track. We also stopped using methods to measure the curvature of the earth.
