This is awesome! Thanks for uploading it :) Btw your voice is lovely! Also, would you consider analysing other poems too, like Sylvia Plath or Dylan Thomas?

Why thank you! :D Glad it helped. Hmm I’m not sure... this is going to sound really strange looking at my channel but I don’t actually like poetry that much lol. I’m thinking about doing some stuff on my other A Level English Lit stuff and Shakespeare potentially... we’ll see. For now anyway I don’t think I’ll do other poets, really sorry! x

Aw thanks that makes me really happy! EXCITING NEWS actually... I’ve started posting my A level notes online and so far I have resources on The Winter’s Tale and (a bit of) Henry IV part 2 (currently working on getting more notes on that up). Not sure if those are your texts but on the off-chance it helps here’s a link: tmp394043596wordpresscom.wordpress.com/ As for other Shakespeare content, I would love to make some videos for you (pretty sure I’m his biggest fan ever hahaha) but they’ll probably have to wait until after my exams are finished in June - revision is intense right now. Hope that’s OK. If you have any specifics you want me to cover or questions lemme know and I might use them for a video. Always here for a chat! xx

You are such a nice person! Not everyone is glad to help others with their own effort. Those texts aren't the ones that my teacher chose but thank you sooo much anyway. I hope you get the grade you want in your exams and that everything goes well. xx@@daizchalkx8490

You could talk about king Lear and sisphyus allusions unless I missed you saying it x

I hadn’t thought of that, that’s so interesting! I can see how it mirrors Sisyphus but how does it relate to King Lear? x

TreeFreakDreamer it’s quite out of the blue but I think it’s really cool. Lear tried to give his daughters Gonreil and Regan all he can - wealth, privilege, status, land all that. Mirrors how the leaves are « elevated ». However, they turn against his kindness without showing gratitude, « flowing into my face » splashback reaction. At the coda it is realised that every thing is of value « but a crop is a crop » signifying how the youngest daughter cordeila’s words about love are also of this privileged materialistic value ,if not more

Hi, your video is very useful and I got a question. In 3:14 , “ But the mountains I raise” , can I said it used exaggeration? Thanks a lot! 🙏🏻

How can you ascertain the sex of the speaker? I've heard you say he very often. But nowhere in the poem do we get the hint of the speakers sex.
