remarkably simple, and so effective. This is the kind of thing that could get me into playing with homemades. Excellent work.

Super nice build Aero. This blaster demonstrates the reasons why I like FVJ's so much.

If they were more "accurate" then sure. While the darts were breaking 250 FPS, (hell probably 275 FPS), their accuracy was terrible, even with a 20 inch long barrel I suspect the tight fit of these darts in the CPVC was the reason, perhaps while decompressing they deformed a bit, but still they were fishtailing left and right. If the darts could be safely weighted (fill the tips with silicone?) Then perhaps they results would be better.

The fvj tips are solid already i believe. Too tight a barrel i don't think helps. I think a certain portion of it should be loose to allow the dart to reach atmospheric pressure by the end of the barrel.

Will have to experiment with telescoping barrels, they have been recommended to me by many good builders

By telescoping i mean the very end being loose and the beginning being tight.

I made a simple one of those turrets with a maverick barrel as a spacer and it's so fun to use (so much better than a traditional 2 round speedloader)

We worked something out, he's getting a vintage Nerf air blaster that is highly sought after to replace it. Which is literally a toy.

Thanks for your patience, guys, I had to re-upload because the audio was cocked up on the first one. As for shipping to Australia, yeah I don't think I'll be doing that, I thought of everything that has been suggested, and the risk isn't worth the reward.

Do you do plus bows?
@archangel2014
8 жыл бұрын
Never have. Plusbows were cutting edge technology 7 years ago, i.e. -The pullbacks I have offer better grip than a plusbow (can use your whole hand as opposed to just the fingertips to prime,) -They have a completely enclosed priming bar (whereas plusbow bar has the potential to hit your face, and covers would obstruct your ability to prime it). The priming arm on the pullback has the potential to hit your wrist, but I've literally never had that happen in a war, it's sufficiently far back so long as you shoulder it. -The manufacturing required on a plusbow is INSANE. Look at the plans and you will see all sorts of complex cuts on lots of polycarbonate, you need a scrollsaw or a ton of dremel cutting wheels to make one. Here, you need a 3D printer, but the MAN-HOURS required to put one together after printing is like 3 hours tops. -Plusbow has stress points built into the design, particularly at the front bushing connecting to the body. So the short answer is no, I do not make plusbows. They are cool, and were incredibly innovative at their inception, and honestly are the reason homemades really took off. But if we are being honest they do not hold up when compared to many modern designs.

+Aeromech Ok, I personally just love them for their similarities to the hallowed Xbow.
