proprietary ear buds on the Liberty 4. No option for tip rolling to get the best comfort and seal. Returned my set.

Thanks Ron, this was what I was looking for. It seems the balanced armature in the x1 is not translating to significantly better sound compared to the L4 NC? If the price for these two and the original Liberty 4 were the same, would your preference still be for the L4 NC?

I've been thinking about getting the Liberty 4 NCs but I'm trying to wait to see if Soundcore will come out with the Liberty 4 pros.

Good way to test earbuds is with the equalizer set flat. The v shape is no bueno. I get that every one has there preferences but the base should never over power the mids and highs. If one is raising the base...it means the speakers suck. Again take i to account that the artists have the music set up a certain way. When we as consumers get the music and start messing with equalizers it is actually messing with the track. One of the things I appreciate about the soundcore liberty pro 3s is that my equalizer has never been touched and always kept flat. I think as people we have become accustomed to the base and more base...I really like your reviews btw. My comment wasnt a dig...just an opinion. THIS IS THE WAY!

Sounds like you're more of an audiophile than a bass head. I like clean and clear sounding music too but I also like hard hitting rumbling bass that doesn't mess up the high and mid frequencies.

So it desn´t make sens to get the x1 if I have the 4 nc, even if the x1 start from 12 hz instead of 20 hz at the 4nc? Was hoping for deeper bass starting sooner, ending later. Like the 4NC alot but I used a lot of "cabled" sony in ears in the past and was very happy with an frequenzy band from 6 to 24000 Hz. Now after your review I don´t think it is good, that the X1s showing the bass to late and cut it out to early. I already have this feeling sometimes with the 4 NCs and was hoping to get a lil bit more deep base experience with the X1s. Would the X1s be an upgrade in any form, for the 4NC?

Human ear can’t hear below 20hz so no if that’s what you’re after, more bass, sub 20hz isn’t a factor.

I made the experience that most earphones with frequences under 20 hz had heavier/deeper bass as them starting at 20 hz. So I know it isn´t a secret with human ears and 20 Hz but I personally made this experience that the most earphones with wider frequenzband had better bass. Even if it were old Sony for 40 instead of 25 bucks I could tell a difference .@@denniskousto9497
