Interesting, I hope that the gawler line does reopen this year and it's not closed for the entire rest of the year

Just to Salisbury would make a huge difference. That busiest section should've been finished years ago

I have been on a few J1'S to and From Elizabeth due to the train closure.never seen a bus so packed in my life.it's the most direct bus option that pulls near the shopping mall currently.one hour on one of those with 17 stops versus whatever the rail substitutes use and their path is good.

The 4000 class EMU trains are getting tired and boring while being very similar to design to the V/Line VLocity DMU and Transperth B-series EMU trains. Adelaide's 4000 class electric trains should have three doors on each side of the carriage to allow faster onloading and offloading of passengers especially when the trains are full. Meanwhile in Perth, the Western Australian government has a contract with Alstom (1st link below) to order the newer C-series EMU trains which have 3 doors on each side of the carriage. METRONET is a public transport promise from WA government in 2017 for long term expansion of Perth's suburban rail network and other public transport services where the planning of is done by Public Transport Authority (PTA WA). It's worth a good look at the long term futures (2nd & 3rd links below) of Perth's public transport with METRONET and PTA WA as inspirational models to improving Adelaide's horrible public transport. Perth has the best and most integrated public transport out of all Australian capital cities. The South Australian politicians are not taking any notice with proper public transport expertise in Western Australia as the SA politicians have vested interests with the local car lobby (RAA) and the automotive industries abroad. At least the Australians don’t complain about the transport. More than the people in the UK does.

That's not good, more people in Australia should be complaining about their transport systems whether its roads, railways, footpaths, bikeways and public transport. Transport systems allow the movement of people and goods which must never be taken for granted especially in cities. A bad transport system which are prone to overcrowding, congestion and slow speeds creates an unhappy society whereas a good transport system allows people to live a life with increased happiness and much lower levels of stress. In cities where a large movement of people are required for all times, a fully networked public transport (all day) for all modes with high frequency will liberate thousands of people.

Hi Aussie That is not good the Gawler line is being delays that may wondering if they were running to Adelaide to Mawson Lakes service which they are not going to do and what I am wondering I was thinking if they did the wires along the station but it is a good idea to make Gawler Rail electric trains and I will let you know if you want anything.

When will the new articulated buses made by BusTech be ready to be put into service? Are those newer articulated buses powered by diesel or hybrid engines?
@AussieWirraway

diesel, as Scania who make the chassis hasn't brought the hybrid option to Australia yet

For the cost of that road duplication it makes you wonder if it would be cheaper to just expand the rail line out to Aldinga. In regards to the whole freeway shenanigans they need to make a newer freeway and rail link that goes north from Murray Bridge and connects up to the northern expressway thus freeing up the SE freeway and also do some damn work on the rail line up to Mt Barker and even one day connecting it up to Tailem Bend in the far future.
