This video is on respiration, focusing on the two types of respiration, how our body responds to exercise (to maximise rate of aerobic respiration!) and also a bit about the liver. Please note that a lot of higher level exam questions like to test students on linking respiration to various topics, such as photosynthesis (greenhouses) and diseases (e.g. coronary heart disease, damaged valves, mineral deficiencies in plants) - it is essential that you understand respiration well! Usually the mark schemes for thes types of questions would include points such as:
1. More/Less glucose and/or oxygen delivered or supplied
2. More/Less aerobic respiration can occur
3. More/Less energy is released; Or more/less glucose is made
4. More/Less energy for growth; Or more/less proteins can be made (leading to stunted growth or lack of enzymes for key reactions)
