My man, I played Dark Conspiracies back in the day and I never read or used the Space Travel rules... God bless you for keeping this data alive!

I really liked For All Mankind, its an alternative history sci fi show where the cold war never ends so its about the American and Soviet space race and how it pushes america in different directions because the soviets end up landing a women on the moon first. So its real hard sci fi, and at first they're using the 1960s space tech but it also gets more and more advanced as they begin to advance the timeline with each season. I think runner up for me would be a more true Sci Fi show: the Expanse for how much they try to keep close to hard sci fi physics, having to spin around half way through the destination to slow down and such and how they portray the asteroid miners lifestyle.

Space Travel I've liked: Doctor Who (the ships presented not the TARDIS), Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers, Space Battleship Yamato/Star Blazers, and Red Dwarf would probably be my big favourites. The Alien Franchise as well. For the more fantastical versions, I do like Babylon 5, StarGate, and Fang of the Sun Dougram with the wyrm-hole/jump-gate thing. Battletech's Jump Ships that basically fold space are also a nifty way to go though it is hinted at that it is not so safe to be removed from the current dimension and makes me think of some Event Horizon level nastyness. Honestly my dream would be something like the TARDIS though, to be able to translocate through space and time would be amazing in my books.

QotV: The most realistic cinematic treatment of space travel in general, IMPO, is _2001: A Space Odyssey_ -- not surprising since it was based on a hard SF novel. The most realistic treatment of interstellar travel? That would be _Alien_ -- cold sleep used to decrease supply consumption during relativistic transit that could still take years if not decades. Treatment of space travel that I most enjoyed? That would be _Firefly_, which despite common misconceptions has no FTL travel; everything in the 'Verse is in one star system, and "full burn" is a relativistic drive rather than FTL.

QotV: I got to give it to the Alien franchise for their hard sci-fi space travel. Feel better, Servant. Phuk da'rona.
