I did this on my bike a month or two ago. All said and done it's pretty easy, just take your time and don't miss anything. It took me an hour of messing around with the reverse catch spring and the cover to get it finished but apart from that it's all straight forward.

Can you please try to explain how the reverse spring thing goes?
@hurtinalbertan3844
2 жыл бұрын
@@bakkenboiz2225 it was a long time ago so i don't really remember but I think it was just tough to get it to stay in place as you wiggled the cover back on. I maybe tried to hold it with a screwdriver or something. I just remember it was frustrating, but eventually I got it so just stick with it!

What is the procedure for tightening down the pressure plate or whatever you want to call it on the clutches for the transmission do you just run the bolts all the way down or just halfway? I just want to make sure I get it right
@MudPuppyOffroad
Жыл бұрын
On the disc clutch the bolts should be bottomed out and you should do it a little at a time on each bolt in a crisscross pattern

What type of Rotella (T4, T5, or T6) do you use? EBC says to not use full syn oil but is Rotella T6 okay? I've used T6 in multiple bikes and quads for years and never had a clutch problem. Thanks. Great and very helpful video by the way.

Maybe you can help with this question...I just received my new EBC clutch kit for my 87 TRX350D (6 friction discs & 5 plates). If I stack all the friction discs and plates together I get a total stack thickness of 23.10mm (measured several places with digital calipers). If I put the clutch center together with the pressure plate WITHOUT any discs, I measure 23.00mm between the pressure plate and center. This means that once my friction stack wears down 0.10mm I will be slipping my clutch because the pressure plate and center will be touching metal to metal. This doesn't seem right to me. Any ideas what could be going on here? My clutch has been off before (not by me). Is it possible somebody put the wrong clutch center or pressure plate on my quad? Could I add an extra friction disc to the stack or will that cause problems?
@MudPuppyOffroad

Don't remember off the top of my head but I know different Hondas uses different numbers of friction stacks. I think six sounds right for 350d though
