You really have to try BD4! Much better than BD5! It works with 3.5 V12 too and I find It gives a very beautiful sound with Steuer 3.5.

Thanks Georgia. So far I'm not really convinved by the type of sound I've heard from others on the BD4, 5, or 7. I can see how some people like it it's just not my preferred type of sound. I've been enjoying the B40 Lyre lately, though. Have you tried those?

@@tpark89 I also own two B40s, one is more vintage than the other(my teacher sold It to me years ago, It hasn't the yellow Vandoren logo) The newer I thought It plays better when I bought It but recently tried them one more time and this time I think the old plays better, lol! But! I'm in love with BD4 and Steuer 3.5 as I told, this combo gives such a dark, woody sound, big projection and better articulation than BD5, you can see my review on Thomann(Jimis 3:16). And most importantly, It is comfortable to play, intonation is a little lower than BD5 but you can fix It with your embouchure and air stream, no problem..

@@jimis3167 wow some strong thoughts there Georgia! I don't necessarily disagree but I also don't really have a need for another mouthpiece right now. You know, I actually did try a BD4 about a year ago at the Vandoren Advisory Studio and it wasn't really for me. Reason why they have so many models, right? Thank you though, appreciate your comment. You should start a channel yourself!
