I was in full gear and had a 34 mph cutout on a MSP. My whole body was fine but my leg and knee were shattered. 5 hours of surgery, blood transfusion, 16 prices of plates nails and screws implanted in my leg, writing this from a wheelchair. I had full knee and shin guards but they weren't high quality. Spend good money on gear.

Done over 10k miles without any falls on my ms v3 s+ and msx 84v. Constantly go 30-33mph. I've only had 2 bad falls 20+mph. Those falls were completely gearless. All healed up. Nothing broken other than skin luckily. Getting the performance hoodie in preparation for the exn or whatever next euc I get and the leatt dual axis. Been eyeing those for a while. You do so much more extreme riding. I ride around my city as a car replacement and rarely on trails. I don't do the stairs and backwards riding. Lol

Omg the best safety video!! I recently ordered some new gear, wish I saw this first. New rider only couple miles v10.. 50 yrs old. Love it. I ski, windsurf, pilot, still learning and breaking myself. Not ready to sit on a couch. This video awesome.I’m going to rewatch it again. Already dislocated my finger and had it poke through the skin. Plenty of stitches and broken bones through the years, motorcycles and four wheelers etc. Not discouraged but want to protect my fingers better. I am on road and off-road. Wiped out a few times, this time my finger just happen to catch a stump or stone. I also ordered some shoulder armorthis week as i subconsciously roll to my side instead of my hand and hurt my shoulder a bit since my hand was already broken. Anyway love the video any tips you get for the best hand protection I’m listening. Fyi I’m in southern Virginia (Lake gaston) bordering nc. Super welcome to come riding or tubing or skiing or anything, Jeff

I have those knee guards. They’re the best. I never ride without them, since the day I learned. They actually saved me from ankle pain too. I had no idea what people were talking about with that, the knee guards extend down far enough it keeps from my ankles from touching the euc. I just noticed one day when I rode it from my car to the garage to charge it and the thing dug into my ankle. Those leats are also easy to get on and off given their “bulk”. You set the Velcro once and then you just clip them in every other time.

I like those Lazy Rolling jackets but last week, I swan-dived onto my chest and did the whole lung compression thing (I was geared up everywhere else). Now wanting chest protection, I bought a Leatt 5.5 Body Protector to wear under a hoodie. It fits really nice. Not as easy to put on as a Lazy Rolling jacket but I don't want to experience the after effects of a swan dive again. Does Lazy Rolling have the ability to slip in chest pads? BTW, have you checked out the Brake Free light that you attach to the back of your helmet? It senses when you slow down and will light up brighter.

Hi Chooch I’ve just purchased some Leatt knee guards after watching your review. I tried some Acrebis Gorilla guards and they were so heavy (as in well built) that when stood they slipped down. These seem to be so much better in the strength to weight ratio and the top section above the knee smaller so doesn’t push the guard down. Can I just ask if the clip on part of the straps have worn down over time? Cheers Richard

Hey chooch, I've heard you mention that you use to do woods riding. I also am a woods rider just getting into EUC riding(MSP 100v) I haven't ventured off in the woods yet on the EUC but I do plan on checking it out. My question is how does the skills cross over? I see guys talking about tire pressures up in the 30's and 40's . I ride my bikes at like 7-8 lbs rear and like 12 on the front. So I would assume that the EUC would benefit from lower tire pressure off road as well. Are the rims super weak on EUCs ? Or is the worry pinch flats? I run tubliss system on my bikes, so I don't worry about pinch flats. I think I could figure out a way to eliminate the tube in a EUC as well. What do you think?
@choochtech
4 жыл бұрын
