I love Rush, but it's easier to be cool, grounded, and sharp when you've been wealthy since you were young. When you've done nothing but work all your life, made little money, and are cranky and exhausted from it, you're going to be more arrogant about it. DISCLAIMER: I love Rush.

Geddy says; "I'm just a musician". Only one of the greatest musicians of our time! He's so down to earth! He made eye contact with me at a show. I was in the 3rd row and he smiled at me because I was smiling so huge I couldn't wipe it off if I tried. That was a moment I will always have. I know Alex said he doesn't really get recognized much and Neil, I'm not sure of but my gosh, they're both as down to earth as anyone could be. I love these guys and still remember where I was and what I was doing when I found out Neil had passed. RIP Neil Peart.

I did live the life of a professional musician for a few years. Nothing remotely on the scale of Rush of course, but certainly one that afforded me countless opportunities for the life that the average "Rocker" on tour lives. I indulged a little bit in the women and the alcohol and partying (never got into any drugs). What I found was that after a pretty short period, it got really old. Even for a guy in his 20s. Waking up next to a stranger after a third or fourth straight night of drinking to excess just felt empty. I had enough judgement and maturity to get out of that life pretty quickly. I am proud to say that I ended up spending most of my time off reading, drumming, or exploring the cities. That was incredibly fulfilling. Looking back, I wish I had the forethought to go to the next level like these guys did. Although I had none of those resources, so it wouldn't have been quite as feasible, but still I fantasize about that. These men are truly extraordinary.

@@devilsoffspring5519 Well, for one thing, I hate the outspoken, arrogant Canadians that criticize our neighbours to the south, but maintain that they themselves are just stereotypically “nice” people. We aren’t any better than our neighbours, and we, in fact, owe America a great deal of respect and honour for protecting the “free world” from Communism for the last half century+. Speaking of which, I’m also not a fan of our country’s present PM and our seeming infatuation with all things “woke” and far-left (identity politics, for example). @@devilsoffspring5519 Being the old man that I am, I had to look up “gangstalking”…. @@PollyTheWog It's an actual problem, a type of crime. It's not a set of "persecutory beliefs."
