Hello & thank you for the review. The A10M joined my little printfarm a year ago. Out of the box and using Cura (with the pre-installed A10M-profile) I had no problems to create one-color-prints in an adequate quality. At that point I wasn't interested in trying out the two-color-feature. I used the A10M as a working-horse for Corona-shields, and it did its job very well. Recently the YT-algorithm pointed me to a video (by 1zRadio), which described the creation of a nice Geeetech-printer-profile. Following the guide I was able to print two-color models in a very good and satisfying quality and clean (=clearly divided) colors. So yes: It's all about tinkering, tweaking and finding the right settings for the A10M. The hardware is simple but powerful and able to offer a convincing quality. In my opinion this printer is highly underrated. You get a lot of quality for your money, plus: it's very easy to assemble in comparison to its direct "opponent" an Ender 3. Plus the two possible colors (or color-mixing/ gradient mixing). I would definetely recommend this printer for beginners. As written above, I had no serious problems printing out of the box. A little bit of heating up, levelling, inserting the filament, starting the testprint and voila: you're good to go. The problems that occured (no first-layer-adhesion and layer-shifting) do not affect the A10M in special. They can happen on any 3Dprinter if not levelled well or having any losened parts. Every 3Dprinting-beginner should know, that 3Dprinting isn't that easy as e.g. paper-printing is. You'll have to adjust your machine (hardware) and know the correct settings for the printer-data (software). Thanks to a whole lot of very good tutorials you'll soon be able to get the very best out of yor printer. For me, this printer is an awesome companion, and it still didn't fail doing its job. It convinced me to buy "the big brother" A30T :) Best regards & have a lot of fun! Greetings from Germany and sorry for my (sometimes) horrible English.

I think your spool arms are mounted wrong. They should be mounted on the top and not the back. I might be wrong I couldn't really see in the video. The extruders on this printer are notorious for failing and I would recommend changing to a dual drive system. DO NOT take the head apart if you don't have to. Your idler wheel in your extruder has probably broke free of the extruder arm, thus causing the filament to slip, and is most likely the cause of most of your fails. Also check the roller wheels to see if any of them spin freely. This is all from experience. Great video. Keep up the good work.

I got one second hand that was already modded and dialed in and it has been so much more consistent than my ender 3 pro. It has some issues for sure. I ran into lots of bugs with octoprint running on a raspberry pi when trying to do dual extrusion prints. But it printed amazingly when just loading it on to the sd card. Overall I agree, a frustrating printer but a fun one to mess with!

I have to laugh. I feel your pain in the tinkering required. This is my first go at 3d printing. I'm enjoying it and am enjoying the printer. However it is a lot. A lot of tinkering and learning. I've had mine over 9 months and have learned a lot yet only really getting to color mixing and learning what I needed to change. Then again spot on. My daily driver is a 29 year old luxury roadster and my second car is a 18 year old jeep. Very good comparison to the printer tinkering

Instead of clipping a boden tube you can try to clear the jam. I did it with a straightened out wire coat hanger.

Better yet get some Capricorn tubing...stock stuff's inside diameter is a bit too large that will allow the filament to jam

The dog's body was just a fancy breakaway support structure for the head lol

If you move your brackets from the side of the top ledge to the top you can actually save some height and change the difference of distance between the extruder and the filament rolls

Your spool holders are mounted wrong I'm afraid to say

Massively agree just bought one and spend the last month tweeting it more than using it 😂

I grew up in a family with 'classic' English sports cars (Rover sedan, TR-3b, TR-4, Austin-Healy 3000, Neighbors had a TR-6 and a 7) YES MY FATHER WAS A GLUTTON FOR PUNISHMENT.... so I very (too) familiar with having to tinker with cars (I somehow ended up with a Nissan that had an appetite for alternators (literally I could change an alternator (lifetime warranty) in ten minutes). So this sounds like it MIGHT be worth the challenge.....

Just a question, but could you print say, a PLA object and give it a support structure of water soluble filament using the dual extruder system?

ABS or PLA?

Is the mixer software capable of mixing 3 colors?🤔
