I was born in 2011, so I'm almost 13, and I made the cut-off for Gen Z by one year! Anyway, I'm disgusted by these kids and the adults that are ignorant of the situation. Both my parents are in their 50's, and they let me wear a little makeup. For my everyday makeup, I just wear mascara, eyebrow pencil, and lip gloss! And recently my mom gave me her eyelash curler because she never uses it. As for skincare, I just wipe my face daily with face wipes, and I use prescribed stuff from my dermatologist that helps with my acne. And as someone with real acne, I'm so weirded out that these 10 year-old kids want to act like they have acne so they can have an "aesthetic" skin care routine. #StopSephoraKids

Its so sad that this new generation will probably never have a traditional childhood that doesn’t revolve around the internet. They will get to have Kindle Fires to read and play games on for a max of 2 hours per day, they will get books to read and toys to play with. (kids should get to make calico critter collections like I did instead of staring at computers all day with no breaks.) I made my first adventure into a Sephora two months ago, and left as soon as my friend was done cleaning the samplers because they couldn't stand how dirty they were. I feel like parents should give a bit of freedom with that type of thing but also regulate it a bit. I also feel like you should be allowed to start experimenting with makeup when you are in your teens, maybe pre teens but not for like daily use, but it also does mess with your skin a bit. i'm a millennial and my daughter is 7.. The fact that their mom is allowing this is the biggest problem. It all starts with the parenting. Parents putting their children on the internet without educated consent is gross and abusive. The kids don't understand what they are actually doing when filming these videos. Setting these children up for ACTUAL stalkers and putting them in potential danger. I don't even allow my daughter's pictures to be posted online unless its on my private pages. Being a parent isnt easy, but this is just making things way too hard... for only the benefit of money.

Its neglect, those parents have children that they dont want to raise so they slap an ipad or a phone at their face and stuff them with social media content so they can keep them shut. Its abuse, their indirectly forcing their kids into a mind rotting neved ending sequal of tiktok dances, pranks and pov's. And allow them to interact with other people on the internet which enables a whole new type of danger from grooming to stalking to manipulating the poor kids. Im not saying to completly disable any form of social media for kids. My little sister likes this game, idk the name but its a chibi game where you create storys. so we allow her to play it for a few times a day and i moniter her on my device she makes vidwos about the games and kept on asking me to release them on my account so we agreed that she does it once a week and she didnt become obsessed with it infact she doesnt even like it any more. Also nowadays people are just making fun of people as a "trend" like "the ick" "acoustic" and just making fun of people in general, bc all memes are about now are lik "omg that so side eye" and just judging people why can't we just laughe about funny cat videos and be nice again, bc when I tell you, last year the humor wasn't all about making fun of others, maybe even a year and a half ago it wasn't about being so jujmental and now it's all about, "being aesthetic” and “if u don’t have a stanley cup ur not it” like bro ITS JUST A CUP it’s only the “weird people” not that actually care about being nice, and i guess i’m one of those “woke” people that just want to be a good person oh and “WHOMP WHOMP” that someone posted a offensive thing, i can’t say anything about being a decent person without someone saying “whomp whomp” this happened the other day and all people care about is being “funny wich in reality it’s being rude, offensive, trying to be all trendy and stuff, the thing is i’m not gen alpha or gen z i was born in the middle, and i amd just so extremely scared for the future generations like what if i can’t even be myself anymore bc it’s not “TRENDY” sorry for the rant but i’m so tired of this

As a 12 yr old, I hate kids like this. They make everyone feel bad about their skin and they think since they have skincare that their so cool and preppy. As myself,I have never step foot in a Sephora or ultra. The only “skincare,” I have is water, lotion, and perfume. :> And at this age, I was playing with toys and enjoying my childhood. I just feel sad for these kids bc they don’t have a real childhood
