@@thepoormanpodcastreactsoffical Great video. But for the life of me. I just can't stomach all the religion and man bashing, by some of the people interviewed. Hey. If they want to live degenerate lives with no code or discipline. If these women want to do all the dirty jobs and be deployed to wars. Have at it. Hell is not a social construct. It is the consequences of defying structures that have been implemented to defend mankind from its destructive nature. If these men and women want to indulge in it. I say let them choose bears over real men and whatnot. Just don't follow my "backwards" black azz when I run far away from them. There has to be an oasis, somewhere in all this rampant wickedness and sin. It just breaks my dark heart when the pendulum will swing back. When there will be innocent bystanders. When laws, rules and order WILL be abused. And religion and dogma that enforce tranquility will be blamed, AGAIN,. My parents were born in the 1920s and I'm only 57 yrs old. If my older brother took two cookies from the cookie jar Mom would say: "STOP that, put that back". But if he took MY cookie she would say: "Shame on you, give that back" but no matter what he did to get extra cookies, he never felt guilty about it. Guilt is directly connected to the conscience and the conscience is a gift from our Creator. So guilt is a deterrent that saves us from the shame of being exposed by carrying out selfish desires.

Don't take "Turn the other cheek" out of context. Jesus was explicit here - when slapped on the RIGHT cheek, turn the LEFT cheek. Romans were trained to be right handed. They punched enemies and equals on the left cheek, and administered a back-handed slap to inferiors and slaves on the RIGHT cheek. Turning the left cheek was to dare the soldier to treat them as an equal, or to dare the soldier into disgracing themselves by slapping them with their pooping hand. Keep in mind that the disciples carried swords. They used those swords. "Turning the other cheek" is about one-upping a superior, not about timidity.

There used to be this quote used.”Have you no shame?” Which I think was common more amongst young daughters and married women for having immoral behavior. Same quote with “What would the neighbors think?” Was implied because they knew they would face shame or at the very least criticism or gossip by other families and usually would face some criticism from a priest after church when families all would socialize as a community

Shame is part of a functional society. There’s no shame in Western countries. If you have no shame how do you discourage negative behavior? People inherently want to belong, and if there’s shame associated with certain behaviors (e.g. having outrageous sexual histories), people will try to avoid that behavior so they are not ostracized from the community. It's not enough to encourage positive behavior, you have to attach stigmas to negative ones. It has to be a balance of both. Everyone knows how shame works, and that it works but we’re conditioned to be adversarial towards shame because subconsciously we all understand that Women would be the ones most affected by it (for reasons that should to everyone obvious to everyone by now).

Where the church messed up is being hypocritical i.e. the pastor sleeping with the congregation and everyone knowing/talking behind the wifes back. They also lost people by selling out and using the money they were supposed to use on the church on fancy cars, designer suits, etc and *literally* begging throughout the entire “show” (because that’s what it’s turned into these days!) Lastly, they lost people by twisting the word and then allowing whoever and whatever into the church, _knowing_ it’s against the word! Which, ties into the selling out for financial gain again + being pushovers and allowing b.s. like you said.

Good questions, and pretty good answers. A couple that stood out to me: 1. Yes, I fully beleive that a mans duty should be to protect and provide, especially for the ones he loves. Ao the notion that a man can stand by idely, be disrespected, and simply accept thag when he COULD do something about it, sickens me. 2. Gay men are inherently more feminen. Have you seen the way they move? How they act? How they speak? What masculine men, is interested in taking *in* another man from behind? Now that is not to say that gay men are incapable of being masculine. After all, spartains took younger men all the time. And those guys are as tough as they get. 3. Men are more affected by shame than women. Men hold each other to a high standard. Don't let others see you cry. Don't allow people to walk all over you. Do not allow yourself, or your girl to be disrespected. Protect those you love. Keep yourself in good shape. These are traditional values that society has placed on men. Failure to fufill some of these values makes us lose respect. Women have no such burdens to bear, ESPECIALLY today, other than to be decent, and be chaste, maybe even build a home (optional). Women are not expected to protect. They are allowed to cry freely, they're not expcted to work as hard. They have not taken on masculine roles, they have just been given their benifits, while being relieved of accountability for both roles. The fact that they are allowed to "wear their shame as a badge of honor" shows that shame isn't really working on them at all. But you shame a man for being 300 pounds, and he loses his respect? Best beleive he will make an attempt to better himself.

It's generally incels shaming other incels. It's people who are incels trying to project it on others as a means to demean them.

Shame is to make you think about your actions before doing them. Guilt is to make you feel bad for something you should have not done. Shame is like the laws, think about the consequences before the actions to prevent harming others.

Shame and stigma are guiderails that many in society need because not everyone can see cause and effect. To have no shame or stigma is moral relativism which means no morality.

Stigma is the bad side of shame not a guardrail. Stigma is more close to stereotyping.

@@AntiDecepticonCampaign It's all part of the same process and none of it is bad when applied appropriately. Feeling guilt or shame for actions that will have negative consequences IS NOT a bad thing. When we removed those guide rails because of moral relativism the west got real ugly real fast. And now many folks say the answer to that is more relativism which is nonsense. And stereo typing is a normal human thought process. Everyone does it and its how we learn to handle a number of things in life. It's only bad when you leave it unchecked. The social programming has been going on so long now we have 3 generations of people that think many of the facets of humanity that built society are negatives. Which is why society is now falling apart.

Spot on with the religion stuff. I don't consider myself religious but with the decline and absence of organized religion in the west you can see the sense of community and culture that came along with it was replaced by material-driven social media and people became bankrupt for values. Ties back to lack of shame which you mentioned.. shame was provided by organized religion in the past.

Bruh, when I was young I couldn’t wait to mingle with women and now that I’m growing into being a man (32) I realize time is spent better for the most part from a distance lol. Of course I’ve had great times with women and want more but I’m also aware that very little of your effort must be given to them cause a man can’t afford to grow with women affecting him. The mind doesn’t need that cloudiness

Shame is a good thing. Shaming needs to come back. If you act with immorality and without shame, then you have no reason to learn and change your actions. A shameless society promotes bad behaviour.

Shame is a tool that is used within society by groups or individuals or governments to undermine another individual to conform to an open or hidden agenda, guilt comes from having a conscience and failing to live up to your own standards or believing that you could do better or making a poor decision, i work in social care so yea, making sure you did your best is the best way to go and not feel guilty because you could not alter a situation that you have no control over.
