Gene Harris was very popular during the late 50’s/60’s with his marvellous trio - “The Three Sounds” - recorded outstanding series for the best jazz label - Blue Note -. Among the best funky, soulful pianistsduring those best of Jazz Years. Love this live album with Frank Wess’s bluesy, “floating” flute playing folks. Enjoy, Dig, G’day & a swingin’ Cheers!

So soulful, gotta be one of my favorites!!! Loved seeing him with John Hatton on bass and Carl Burnett on drums… My friend, Rob Whitsitt on guitar also played with Gene during that period of time. Gene was an artist beyond compare.
