Excellent interview. Gen. Holmes’ advice can be applied to all careers and is very helpful. It is very motivational

It was my privilege to learn Eagle tactics, and many other life lessons, under mobile’s tutelage, in the 7th TFS. He was a gifted and selfless leader then, as he was throughout his career. His accomplishments are inspiring. Thank you Mobile.

Mobile Holmes. I like that. I wish fighter pilots would explain how they got their call signs. My favorite is slag. He got the name because on his first catapult launch he "screamed like a girl." Kudos to whoever came up with that

He does which is not an easy thing to get out of fighter pilots.

Very smart General. I wish my son has the same qualities as him as he is planning to stay long to serve. He currently assigned as maintenance officer and an LSO in the Navy in addition to flying the F18 Super Hornet.

I remember this guy’s Tennessee accent as my Wing CC in Afghanistan in 2008…”Start right, finish strong” he said in our right start brief. I was an A-10 MX dude from the 303rd EFS.

Did he really have trouble getting in with 20/25 vision in one eye? Is that just because it was a long time ago and they relaxed the requirements?

Wasn’t until recently they allowed for PRK and Lasik. Used to be a lot tougher.
