Very brave of the lads to put this all together. Shame about all the negative comments but they did this last concert for the FANS. We are all getting older and some of us are suffering badly because of it. Thanks for all the magical trips over the years lads. You are right there at the top of the tree in my mind. Amazing music from over 50 years.

I get what you are saying. I love Genesis, and Phil. But i wouldn't go to any of these shows. It would just bring me down, and do very little for me. This is not how i want to remember them by. I want to remember them at their peak. Yes it was brave of Phil and the guys for doing this, but for the most part this is a completely sub-standard performance. I go to a concert to listen to well played, well performed live music, and Phil is not able to deliver to a professional standard any more. They have all my support for who ever wants to go and listen, but it's not for me... The band sounds great, but they are completely uninspired most of the time and feels like they are just "punching in" to get the job done. You can see Tony's expression most of the time. He's bored stiff... Also no Chester... Phil's son is good, but nowhere near the level of his Dad and Chester. The 2007 tour was the proper "goodbye".

@@conan5885 I'm afraid I must agree. I saw Phil on the "No Jacket Required" tour and this is just... well, sad. He's not only suffering from back issues, but his voice seems to be completely shot. No, I wouldn't go see this if the tickets were free. I prefer to remember him as he was - exciting, animated, inspired, and wickedly talented. A shell of his former self. Sounds like a song title - gtg write that one. Peace!

Not just for the fans, I’m sure Phil greatly misses/missed doing shows. He may not be in great health. But he deserved this last time on his own terms. They all did.

@@Madmetalmaniac42069 Im not disagreeing with that, but to make it a big production and charge people a pile of money for tickets for a sub-standard performance is a little too much to ask from the fans, don't you agree...? At least for me it is. Phil's solo your prior to this was a good indicator of the shape he is in, and sadly he couldn't deliver in that. I kneew i wouldn't be able to deliver in this either. Even with two backup singers helping to cover up the shortcomings it's not really working. I understand his need to do this, especialy after he almost died from his addiction and ill related issues, but at the same time they are charging money, so they have to be able to deliver. It's not only die hard fans coming to see this...

I'm a teenage fan and I got to see this show in NC at 15 years old. Words can't describe how sad it is to love progressive rock in this generation. The presentation of "Throw it All Away" and "Fading Lights" recurred in my mind over and over the next day and I could hardly talk to anyone without sobbing my eyes out the whole day. I have to watch all of these amazing artists die one by one.

I was there. The band were fantastic as always. Nic Collins is an amazing drummer. Sadly his dad is a shadow of his former self. Next to no voice left, and barely able to walk. Many of the keys were dropped to accommodate him, something they've never had to do before, and all the high notes were sung by the backing singers. It was great see them one last time - I first saw them in 1969. But seeing Phil like that was extremely sad, and I kind of think they shouldn't have gone out on tour with him, as he simply wasn't up to it. This video though - a fantastic job. The sound quality is first rate, and whoever put this together has created a fitting souvenir of that last set of concerts.

For a Genesis fan this is a lovely ending to their career. Anyone criticising Phil's inability to hit every note are missing the resonance and emotion he continues to put into these songs that no-one else can replicate. Just enjoy, and if you need the HD perfect version from him in his former years again, it's stored eternally. However him having this opportunity along with his fans strikes me as on par with anyone who enjoys that final dance from the original choreographer.

I respect and understand your point. But you also need to understand the other perspective too. We can't say that this tour was a great performance, because it wasn't. People will always want "one more". For me the 2007 tour was the last. And a great one it was. If people don't mind a poorer performance standard and pay tickets just to support the artist, great. I on the other hand go to concerts to listen to well played and well performed live music, otherwise ill just listen to the cd. Im a fan, not a fanboy. Im there for the music and the artist's craft and work, not for the artist himself

It's hard to know that Peter Gabriel really was backstage during this show and did not come out....but seeing Phil struggling it's easy to imagine one of the possible reasons why he didn't come onstage...the fans wouldn't have let him just stand there and give a bow without singing and taking over the vocals even for the encore would've left Phil sitting in a chair for the end of the final gig completely overshadowed. But having said that, Peter left for a reason and those reasons are probably still there, both for him and the band. I don't think it's wrong they played the show. Injury and disability can happen to anyone at any moment in life, even to little kids. You don't give up on people you love just because they're struggling to perform in life. It's just hard to watch as he is most likely in pain sitting there

The real gift to the real fans would have been a tour with Hackett and Gabriel around year 2000 when they were all still very good. But hey, it was impossible due to egos and the fact that Genesis is in reality two bands, one was the greatest progressive band of all time while Hackett was still there, then it became mostly a pop band that still did some progish stuff to keep some of the old fans.
