Marquee matchup of #1 and #2 and the refs want to seen. NCAA needs to step up. Nobody wants to hear whistle after whistle for these types of matchups. A lot of the calls were pure garbage on both sides.
@chrisbarlow2313

@@jaxonellis2995 Regarding the comments about the officiating last night, just call the game consistently throughout for both teams. I know Dee Kantor is supposed to be one of the top refs and calls a lot of the top games, but there was a good deal of criticism of her and the one male ref (who I’ve seen in games before and don’t like). They were inconsistent with calling fouls. Some ticky tack stuff was called, while other much more physical stuff wasn’t. We may not like it, but if they are consistent with calls for both teams, then that’s the way it is. It’s a good thing that they let them play in the last seconds of regulation instead of calling a foul. My wife and I were just waiting for one to be called, which would have sucked having the game come down to a free throw at the end.

Yep, let's hope just a bad night for both Westbrook and Williams, but this is the second big game ONO failed to be an offensive threat, and sitting on the bench most of the 4th qtr. @@geesworld Yes, but if that 18-footer top of the key, above the foul line shot is wide open, i.e., given to them by their opponent, the Bigs need to take it and make it at a high percentage. It’s in their range; they just need to become more confident in making that shot. And it is part of or UCONN is trying to add the pick and pop to their screening offense, which is reason why ONO has recently been taking/attempting that open shot several times a game - obviously, they are working on it in practice. Guarantee we will see more of it IF they are able to execute it.

@@Kielyn123 totally agree with you and I love the fact that she is trying a few of those shots. May I add I think ONO's shooting is strictly based on teams scouting and knowing the wrinkle to slow down UCONN'S offense. Simply allow that shot and have the opponents inside players clog the lane and take away the cutting lanes. I think 22 commit Insueh Brady well excel at high post pick and pop.
