Great game. All 9 players contributed. I especially like how lately even Amari and Ines are aggressively trying to score.

The coach should let Amari just practice scoring during the practices, her entire practice should be working with a coach with right and left hand post moves. That way when she calls for the ball in the game, all she does is score. She needs to perfect those scoring moves. She’s 6’5” with a 6’5”1/2 wingspan- nobody’s going to stop her but her.

@@shortaybrown I'm sure she has had tons of one on one time with the coaches. She doesn't seem to have adapted to the college game unfortunately. And she has had injuries. I'd love to see her succeed. The team could really use her, even if just as a sub.

@@dougf9900 - I don’t think Amari can’t ever be great. She’s looked real good in the last 2 games. You can’t teach height and she has a 6’9&1/2inch wingspan. I know if she worked 2 days with Tina Charles learning her moves (the moves Tina taught Aaliyah) she could be unstoppable. All she hast to do is stay in the Low post and for the ball come on, make the move and score. If we had a better scoring Amari, and Aaliyah in The game at the same time, that 6’3” and 6’5”. How can any team stop those two from scoring at the same time?

It's such a pleasure to watch this extremely close, joyful team dramatically improve with every game, now consistently playing some beautiful basketball. Congrats to Ice Brady! When it all clicks for Ice, look out, because she has all the tools to be great. Also, don't underestimate Q. I'm seeing glimpses of unique & spectacular ability. Not surprised that coach recently said he's thrilled when thinking of Q's extremely high ceiling. Nascent Tiff Hayes anyone? High praise, I know....we'll see.

One good game amd she's got all the tools to be great? Lol. She's a mediocre shooter and hates contact. She has no low post game, doesn't like to rebound or rim protect. Not good for a big. She has a LONG way to go to be an effective big, they dont need another guard, especially one with kesser skills and athleticism.

Why wouldn't he be coach of the year? Don't forget it's him who recruited these freshmen who are not playing like freshmen. Except Q, who looks lost 50% of the time but you can see she could be an incredible player. And to her credit you can see her learning. Let's check back in 7-10 games. 5 players out, 3 of them starters 2, maybe 3 All-Americans and he's not COTY? Gimme a break. KK continues to dazzle. Wait until she develops an outside shot.

What I see in Q is a doggedness for the ball. She gets after it! I think she has a ton of upside and no hesitation. I like that about her. She will be a huge asset down the road.

I'm pretty sure everybody sees that. What's happening is Ash and KK are playing the spots they played in HS. Q is being asked to play a totally different position and do things she hasn't done. She basically has to rewire her basketball brain because she certainly has the talent. Give her time. It also doesn't help that the other 2 are doing so well.@@janetmrakovich883

Ice will enter the transfer portal - just have a certain feeling. Yes has been doing much better as of late but there are still too many moments where she acts like a kid still, being all upset and not running back after a mistake. RN she can get away with it cause they need an extra body after Aubrey's injury, but if she does not quickly change it she will be back in Geno's doghouse real quick and she does not seem like a player who handles uncomfortable situations very well, hence the feeling that she's going to transfer.

Aaliyah will most likely leave after this season, that leaves the forward position open and ice will most probably take her spot in the starting lineup, she will play more minutes. Let’s not forget she’s a red shirt freshmen who came from injury, and has an amazing relationship with the girls and the team.

Following up on Geno’s comments about St. John’s challenges after losing g so many players to the portal…..the transfer portal is ruining college sports!!!!! Players should get one and only one free transfer. After that, go back to the old rule of a mandatory sit-out year. Unlimited transfers is making the management of teams difficult to near impossible and will drive good coaches out of the profession!!! Players owe the schools who gave them a scholarship more than one year!!!! Things need to get balanced out to reduce the chaos all these transfers are causing!!!!
