Join me as I head out to a rugged and scenic area of the Australian bush in search of geocaches. Only three caches on the list for today, and the first was one I have found before (see my "A Cache Too Far and Some Lessons Learnt" video for the story of my FTF here). By the time we got to the third and final cache there were two of us still crazy enough to keep at it. We were rewarded with a most memorable find and some awesome views.
An added bonus was a close encounter with a Lace Monitor (a large lizard) who allowed us to get very close and shot some great video. They usually head off at speed and climb the nearest tree at the sight of humans so this was a rare and special opportunity.
The caches featured in this video in order of appearance are;
GC3Z1W1 One for Loki
GC41PKD The People's Alphabet Challenge Cache
GC435K4 Unique spot
Thanks to stairman1 and goldielover for all the hard work in placing these caches. Without them I would likely never have ventured here. Thanks also to the group for the great company on the day, with a special mention to Gunnie69 who was mad enough and stubborn enough to go for that final find. I consider myself fortunate to have found the hobby/sport of geocaching. Not just for the great places it takes me, but also for the friends I have made along the way.
I hope you enjoy this video, and maybe feel inspired to pick up a GPS device and give it a try. Get out there and enjoy!
