It all depends on the management of the wealth and the stability of the economy. Here in Guyana, politicians are who makes the country go forward. So far, the governing PPP party, i hope good comes from your administration. I mean your choice of candidates as well as MP could have been better. More young and qualified people are needed to steer Guyana forward the fastest way possible.

Will Guyana be able to leverage its own people and envision a city, highways, energy-efficient mass transit, sustainable energy and freedom for individuals to be creative? Will there be inclusive finance? Will politicians become aware that the key to economic mastery lies within its people? Will Guyana realize its destiny of becoming a cost-of-living paradise? PS. GUYANA: Use oil revenue to institute a Basic Income Provision. This is a NEW MILLENIUM. Guyana should do something new. (for instance: 1] Choose an every-month sum appropriate for Guyana[for example, $20,000 GYD per month--But Guyanese should figure this out of course]. 2]distribute this per capita, that is to every adult citizen at least 18 and (maybe) possessing a minimum of schooling, college and trade training. 3]This will obviate MOST of the negative consequences of the Dutch Disease as well as many other baneful modern conditions). Guyana can request that the extractive industries contribute to the funds necessary. The most famous abuse that Guyana suffers is of course corruption/I don't know how true it is, but whether it is corruption or street crime, this provision will replace them with a self-respecting society.

@ulrichlachman1216 0 seconden geleden Guyana also has a border dispute with Suriname. What Rusland did with the Ukraine is the same what Guyana did with the area in the south east border with the area of Acarai Mountains Coeroeniriver and the Corantijnriver of Suriname. Every river has a begin point and and end point. The begin point of the Corantijn river is in the Acarai Mountains in the north by the border of Brazil and the south of Suriname. Guyana calls the part of the Corantijn river New river and that is false. So the area between the Coeroeniriver, Corantine river and Acarai Mountains is Suriname territory. Keep that in mind.
