From an old thrower, it was quite satisfying to watch your progress. I'll bet that your membership on the Army track team greatly helped your improvement as an athlete. Now stay the hell away from PEDs and put your competitive spirit into your Army career and postgrad education! You'll be of championship caliber in whatever you pursue.

Great video of your progression...I'm going to do that with all the videos I've taken of my son Drew. You are the type of build he has...he is 6'4" in his Sr. high school year and 185 pounds but gaining weight and strength. He threw 53' and change last year in shot and 177' 8" in discus. Currently best of 200' in practice...looks like it will be a good year once outdoor season starts. His goal is 60' in shot and 210' in discus - lofty but attainable I think given how much size and strength he can add. Going to show him your vid on how it can keep going for an elite thrower...your end spin speed is amazing. Any tips I'm sure he would apprecitate. Best wishes!

Geoff! I just found this today while looking up throwing progressions for my throwers at Ellington High School. I hope you remember me, you bought me a mountain dew once at nationals because you felt bad for heckling me for drinking so many haha. I actually made the cut for the video too, I'm in your high school jav clip on the far right. I'm very glad to see how well your career went and happy your hard work paid off. Coach Bart
