The Faroe Islands are muuuch older, as a nation, than iceland. Among the early settlers of Iceland were faroe islanders. Faroe Islenders also immigrated to the US and New York was founded by one of the islanders named Jónas Bronks (Hence Bronx). So in fact, Iceland are the large little brother of the Faroe Islands. Very important stuff. With kind regard and Føroyskum kvøðum - an islander.

Here in the Philippines we also have an island in a lake in an island in a lake in an island (Vulcan Point in Crater Lake in Taal Island in Taal Lake in Luzon), people have actually been there, and it's in a middle of a volcano that is surrounded by what could be a volcano (volcano inside a volcano) and on top of that possible volcano in a volcano are cool 20 degree celcius winds and pine trees in a tropical country, and a mountain with an unfinished palace built by a dictator for Ronald Reagan. #ItsmorefuninthePhilippines

One of the best trips I have been to was to the Galapagos islands in Ecuador. I know they are better known than some of the other islands on this list, so you might think that they are packed with tourist, but there aren't that many people in general; and they try to take of the environment as much as possible. Beach, volcanoes, sinkholes, underwater; everywhere on the Galapagos islands is the right spot to be at if you visit. You will see so many wonders. Faroe Islands is so beautiful and its people are so nice. It's also significantly cheaper than the rest of Nordic countries. It's by no means a "watered-down" version of Iceland!

It's a shame you left out our little Gozo. It's such a quiet and beautiful place with many historic locations and natural phenomena

The great pasific garbage patch is not really an island. It is a big area with alot of garbage, especially mokroplastics floating in it.. There is a Vice doku where they travel there. Was really interesting.

You should come to the Faroe Islands july 29th. the day is called ólavsøka and it is like our national holiday. You can experience faroese chain dancing, faroese food, rowing competition with faroese boats, faroese music etc, and offcourse meeting the friendly people.

I would like to visit Iceland, and also Anak Krakatau. The first one, because Iceland. The second, because it's Krakatoa growing up again. I would be fine just being in a boat off the coast of Anak Krakatau, because it is an active volcano, but I would like to see it.

I had to pause when you mentioned "Kaffeklubben island". I can't believe that Denmark called it the "coffee club island". Haha, I love my country!
