Hanmer Springs in New Zealand is like 3 hours from my house. Its a small town famous for natural hot springs and snow in the winter. Very popular with tourists. You should do a New Zealand Geoguessr episode so you get familiar with the NZ landscape. Because that Netherlands one did not look anything like New Zealands environment haha. Loved this series though!

The Galápagos became a national park in 1959,[38] and tourism started in the 1960s, imposing several restrictions upon the human population already living on the island. However, opportunities in the tourism, fishing, and farming industries attracted a mass of poor fishermen and farmers from mainland Ecuador. In the 1990s and 2000s, violent confrontations between parts of the local population and the Galápagos National Park Service occurred, including capturing and killing giant tortoises and holding staff of the Galápagos National Park Service hostage to obtain higher annual sea cucumber quotas Thank you for this comment section for leading me to this incredible fact

For the 10 seconds challenge, you’ve got to figure out go-to guesses for each continent. NZ for Europe, Madagascar/South Africa for North America, That sort of thing. It would be difficult but probably not impossible

4:30 quick tip for future endeavours: You'll probably never see a Hyundai or a Kia in Japan. You might see Toyotas, Hondas and the like in South Korea, but they won't be super common. The flag sure helped this time around, but in case there isn't one flying around, this might help.

It's insane how much you know about roads per country. As a Dutchman, on the 5th one I immediately got the feeling that this was Dutch, because of the straight, neatly laid brick roads with the boring tree layout. Then I hear you say that this kind of brick road is something you'd find in the Netherlands. That's spot on man, dang.
