Saw your ball cap from Providence Canyon and was hoping you made a video of it. Dug deep and found it! Appreciate your explanations of what you saw there because I went a year or two ago and didn't have a clue what I was looking at. I'm learning though! I enjoy your informative videos!!

I spent a lot of time there when I was an army officer in 2001-2003. 2018 was my first time back since 2003. I’m glad you like it 😊👍🏻

Had no idea this place even exists. Thanx for the lesson and the old BLK & White photos!! Also, hard to believe that this video was shot during winter. Looked like an August Summer Day to me. Cheers

Interesting stuff Steve. It's pretty to look at. I can only imagine what it'd be like in 1080p or 4k!

This is much better than I've come up with, in terms of certain details.. We need more videos like this.

GPS coordinates received, but too late for a good strike with the laser. Lol looks like a good area to set up a pottery shop.

They need to condemn the place. Smells like raw sewage and I bet those campers are dumping in it. I drove there with great anticipation and ended up walking through sewage.

What makes the rocks of the Clayton formation red?
@stevenbaumann8692

The iron in it. The iron is expected to have replaced the carbonates mostly due to prolonged atmospheric exposure. If you look hard enough you can find fossils with hematite.

@@stevenbaumann8692 Thank you. But where did the hematite come from? Just fell out of the atmosphere? Perhaps an Iron meteorite exploded in the atmosphere.
