Thanks for the recommendation! I rushed the previous video a bit, and while this one isn't perfect with the one mic that I had to remove due to some weird sounds I was getting from it, and some of the transitions being weird, I do like having the typing in one section and the mods and other keys in another. Appreciate you taking the time to comment and watch. I never would've imagined that people would be interested in the content I make haha. Especially since it's just all pretty "simple".

👀👍! waow, the ultimate glare 65 soundtest video. how long did this take you to swap out all those plates and switches?😭

Haha, it did take a while for sure, but I got a bit "lazy" which is why I didn't do the same switches for every plate and so on. The Kohaku video definitely was way more effort... I did it during work 😂 Thanks for the kind words! Just wanted to add to the already awesome collection of other sound tests that others have put out

pp plate or plateless which do you think give the best spacebar sound in your opinion? I find plateless spacebar sounds awesome

@@ziqoxd For me, I really liked how the PP (and POM for the Glare TKL) plate made the Geon Black liners sound, BUT, I've never tried plateless on either Glare, so maybe, plateless would also sound equally as good! I would say if you have it plateless and already enjoy it, no need to try PP or any other plate (since, in the end, what's most important is that you enjoy it). I've had many boards where I really liked the sound of my plateless config and other boards where a plate sounded better, so it's always dependent on the board itself and the switches used!

do you think its worth the price?

Yes! BUT, only if you are someone that is more interested in aesthetics and other things besides the sound and feel of a board. That's not to say that this board doesn't sound or feel amazing, because it does (my favourite config is the PP plate with Geon black linears), and I love the story of Glare, the weight of the board, and just the overall package, but nowadays, it's easy to get boards that sound and feel good for way less than what the Glare65 costs. I have no doubt that a cheaper board will sound and feel just as good. I bought this because I love the aesthetics and the story behind the board!

What do you think of the sound/type experience over the kohaku?
@HubertTheMad

Good question! Feel-wise, the gasket mounted Kohaku wins if you like a softer typing experience, especially if you use the PC plate. I enjoy both soft and hard typing experiences, so the top mount of the Glare65 didn't bother me too much. Sound-wise, I wanted to capture the Kohaku's signature spacebar sounds with the Glare, and I think I achieved that with the PP plate on the glare with the Geon blacks. Alphas and other mods were a crapshoot (all sounded good), BUT, I lent my friend my Kohaku and it's been like... 5 months? Since I've typed on it, and while I wish I could remember what it sounded and felt like, I can only go by memory haha. Looking forward to typing on my Kohaku once more whenever my friend gets done enjoying it though. Both boards are definitely awesome, and the fact that the Glare is crazy heavy is super cool in my opinion
