I am borderline diabetic. I went on a KETO diet. At the end of August after several months on that diet I began getting leg cramps, and my shoulder became so inflamed I had to go for steroid injections. They have not helped. A week ago I found this channel. I purchased a new glucose monitor and decided to try this diet. I thought there is no way this diet can possibly be good for a diabetic. So far my numbers on my glucose meter are better than I have ever had. I'm stunned. My hope is all my arthritis symptoms will heal. I am putting this lifestyle to the test. I'm 64, and I am 5'2" at 191 lbs. We'll see how it goes.

Grandma Patty I'm right there with you. I'm finishing week 2 of WFPB following the Starch Solution closely. 5'6" and 217 pounds to start. Docs want me on statins but I refused because I wanted to try a dietary approach first. I'm already down 7 pounds, AND best of all the angina symptoms I had started to develop - GONE! And I am NEVER "hangry".

A natural practitioner helped me cure my arthritis with a WFPB diet. However, he really emphasized that WHOLE meant NOTHING PROCESSED! That's what puts this lifestyle ahead of Vegetarian/Vegan. NO salt, sugar or flour products regardless of their grain source! He advised more veggies -especially celery, even juicing it, as the sodium phosphate in it helps to dissolve bone spurs and bring lost calcium back into solution- than fruits as too many fruits can be acidifying, and NO CITRUS, even tomatoes. Natures Plus has a product Source of Life Calcium, plant based that he recommended. I was in my forties at the time and my MD had told me there was no cure for arthritis and that cortisol could buy me some time. I am now 76, 5'6", 132 and ARTHRITIS FREE!💚

this guy's story is amazing. it just goes to show that the body can heal itself given enough nutritional support. I managed to drop my cholesterol by about 80 points with diet and exercise alone. I've had a slight relapse due to my own food addictions and weak will.. but I'm still going to keep on trying to eat clean and stay off the fats and oils!

Wow, this testimonial is such a powerful hit, destroying the argument, the myth that bad eating habits are correlated with low education levels. Fantastic person. I was amazed to find out that, of all places, he has success doing the McDougall program in Texas.

+acerimmeh People would still continue to do what they're doing. I see people buying tons of wine on Friday. Even if it contains formaldehyde in fermentation process in order to quicken it for purchase. They'd still drink that shit. People are stupid man. Only the small minority of smart people actually change themselves.

This fellow sounds a lot like me, only I wasn't as extreme in training, nor did I let things go until I needed bypass surgery. I started a plant-based diet and got better before meds were needed, surgery, disability. Getting better every day, and losing weight easily. Thanks.

He's right, the hardest part is not screaming it to everyone you meet! So many positive changes happened so fast, including reversal of diabetes and kidney problems, my head was spinning! Why had no other doctor ever told me this!!! I HAVE to share it but it's so frustrating because people believe what suits them. My compromise is to DARE people to try it for 30 days and prove me wrong! lol

I can identify with George’s leg pain that felt like a charlie horse that never went away. That is what I had too. But after following the McDougall plan for only 16 days, my leg pain is GONE! Also all my joints no longer ache as they did prior to the plan. I whole heartedly encourage you to give this eating plan an honest try. You will be glad you did.

You have a motivated individual, here, which is a huge portion of the battle. Knowing to read the website and doing it led him on the path to success. Most people do not have the motivation. I'd like to know what this individual's education and profession is. Being willing to read newsletters back in history takes some discipline. The pain was a motivator, obviously, with his leg problem. Sometimes, that's what's necessary to get the change.

The charley horses in his leg could be from trigger points (knots and strands of tension in muscle fibers; Habitually contracted sarcomeres that are stuck in contraction) in his quads, hamstrings, hip flexors, ql's, and glutes! Research Trigger point therapy and seek out a book called 'The trigger point therapy workbook, Third edition' by Clair Davies!!

The crucial part of this video is the question why was he not told this before he was put on a cocktail of damaging drugs. We all know the answer, when it comes to the big earners that is the main chronic diseases the medical profession is tightly controlled indirectly by the drug companies. Here in the UK I was told that if I did not go on Statins I would be dismissed from the hospital clinic and so it was, they expelled me from the medical service I needed. I had to get my local MP involved who wrote to the hospital and there was an enquiry into the incident which they clearly accepted should not have happened. The sad truth is that millions of people are walking around unaware of these real alternatives not only to treatment but prevention.

Can Dr. McDougall, or anyone, show Dr. Mercola the studies of coconut oil? He thinks its healthy. I tried to post the reality,( on youtube: "is coconut oil really healthy?"), but it says I'm blocked.
