Hi. I follow Gurdjieff's music for a long time. When I heard Satie's music, I thougth that It is very similar to Gurdjieff music too. My english it's a little rusty, I hope you have understood. Cheers!

If you can't get the difference between Satie's western musical chords and melody and Russo-Armenian folklore inspired Gurdjieff / De Hartman thematic melodies that were meant as background for Gurdjieff's Movements, then not only you're an ignorant, impertinent, and opinionated nullity but a serious candidate for Hasnamuss. As Mr. G said, "the lower cannot ever understand the higher". Your opinion is precise evidence of that truth.

@@promart611 The scale is a variant of the melodic minor, popular in Eastern Europe at the time, and brought to prominence through the romanticism of Satie. As for "the lower cannot ever understand the higher", well that sounds fairly typical of something his followers would say: the fact of matter is that you would need to be at an all-time low in life for his work to actually resonate with you. Hence trying to put yourself above others is probably top of your agenda, since you are on your arse. Cultist nincompoop.

@@promart611 Oh, and BTW, his musical talent went as far as whistling tunes that he heard while travelling across Europe and Asia. Yes, whistling, whistling to an actual musician (whom he likely manipulated with his gibberish), who wrote the fucking music and played it too. Gurdjieff wasn't "higher" than anyone, he was a leper and a leech in a time of much naivety. He says he learned his choreography from a secret temple of contemplative monks that he found while walking about Asia blindfolded(!)...it never existed. A narcissist, a bullshitting narcissist. Good luck.
