When I was a kid, my father's here, and well, we'll have to have a laugh about this, but when I was a kid, my father wouldn't let me buy records. Right? He thought I should be studying. It didn't work. But anyway, I was so desperate to hear music that I would literally make friends with people who I knew had certain albums. Right? And one of these friends -- I hope he doesn't hear this -- anyway, one of these friends had a David Bowie album called Station to Station, which is one of the best records of all time in my opinion. Now I thought that he wrote it. So I thought, so when I came to make the album Songs from the Last Century about- actually, no, Songs from the Last Century, but...I've said it a few times but in my house we called it "Listen Without Purchasing." Anyway, so when it came to making that record, I thought, "I'd love to cover that old Bowie song, 'Wild is the Wind.'" Turns out, it was first performed by Johnny Mathis. If I'd known that maybe I never would've made friends with that kid. But anyway, turns out that it was written long before that. But here's a kind of, here's my version of the Johnny Mathis version let's say that's not necessarily different, and then a little bit of Bowie's version. This is called "Wild is the Wind."

For all the people looking for a transcript, here's what I can make out: When I was a kid, my father's here, and well, we'll have to have a laugh about this, but when I was a kid, my father wouldn't let me buy records.
